Route 340 is a general national highway that runs from Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture, through Sumita Town, Kesen District, Tōno City, Miyako City, Iwaizumi Town, Shimoizumi District, Kuzumaki Town, Iwate District, and Karumai Town, Kunohe District, and then through the Kitakami Mountain Range to Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture.
It is a long route with a total length of over 240 km, and is also known as "Takata Kaidō Ave.", "Setamai Kaidō Ave.", "Nobori Kaidō Ave.", "Shinomoto Kaidō Ave.", and "Kunohe Kaidō Ave.", depending on the region.

What a beautiful drive, more than 5 hours of amazing nature in North Honshu. Watching the video last week, doing fitness exercises, was a great experience to watch on TV.
