Thank you for the tour. I was born in Long Beach on Dawson in 1949 in Sea Side Memorial HOSP. and my son was born in Long Beach Memorial Hosp. I remember the Pike and pier point landing, and went to school at Clara Barton, and Robert E. Lee I Lived in Carmelitus, and Truman Boyd Manor, Then we moved to Compton in 55 then back to Long Beach on 16th and Temple. I moved out of Long Beach in 1979 to Texas and have never been back, now I am 67 and can't travel so this tour is great for me.

Also by the way, though I'm sure you learned your lesson, never leave your car unlocked, no matter what area of Long Beach you are in. Your commentary was cool and on point for those of us that really know these streets. You were absolutely right about there are a lot of hard working people in the hood. Most times though, it's overshadowed by the mischievous behavior of the knuckleheads. Good job!

Born at St. Mary's in the late 50s, lived on the West Side off Santa Fe in Navy Housing during the 60s, went to Muir and Stephens, then moved to Wrigley, Spring St (30th) and Daisy, 90806. Walked to Washington Jr High and my great Alma Mater Poly High every day. Used to pass Burnett library coming home. A great neighborhood! Graduated at the Convention Center, used to watch all the great 70s bands and eat at Marios Pizza after. Got married, moved to Locust behind Vons right next to that big Baptist Church parking lot. Eldest son born at Memorial, later moved to Pacific Ave a block from Anaheim, worked one day at the 7 Seas bar. Lots and lots of great memories! The ocean! The Pike! Horny Corny! The Gran Prix! The view from Signal Hill before all those condos! And the block parties on Cherry! The people, every single one was great! Miss LBC!!

I could tell stories about the Longos Gang. Bloods, Crips, and so on. I remember when Long Beach PD moved into the projects in the rec center and took over. Back in those days crime was real bad. Thanks man for the tour bro. I also went Clara Barton school, we then moved to 2161 Pasadena st. Lol all the fires back then wow it was crazy. I used to run with Fat Joe down stairs from me . . Steven and his brother Frazer they hung with Snoop Dog and know him to this day. They called me Jamie the white boy. In the up stairs apartment facing the street.

Long Beach was off the hook in the 80s and 90s. Now law enforcement don't play, you will get locked up if you stand on the corner if you not waiting on the car (the bus) on if you are not doing business with a store. 500 dollar fine if you are caught relieving yourself by 5-0. Now it's quiet and safer.

I remember going to Wilson High off 10th & Xemino.....i had to take the either 111 or 112 bus to school. I Remember playing ball on the courts school callex Horace Mann & Stevenson downtown. Long Beach had some of the sexiest girls on the West Coast.
