3:14 There's a very nice pizzeria on the left side. 3:34 Valley on the left goes up to Realp and the Furkapass, also the Gotthard pass forks off from that road. Valley to the right goes down to Göschenen and eventually to Lucerne, via the beautiful Axenstrasse, the road to the Sustenpass also forks off from there 8:45 The drive up to the Oberalppass from Andermatt looks quite flat and underwhelming, but you have to consider that you are starting very high up. 10:05 Many trains in Switzerland have these panoramic cars, usually in 1st class. Some of the mountain trains consist only of panoramic cars. 11:10 These are snow anchors. Hardly pretty, but they give the snow something to stick to. They aren't there to stop avalanches, they are there to prevent them. They are made of heavy-duty steel and set into boreholes in the rock 13:14 That cable car goes up to the Schneehüenerstock. Very worth the time and money, the view is absolutely breathtaking. It runs all year round. 13:54 Here's officially the highest light house in all of Europe. It marks the origin of the river Rhine, and it's a model of the light house that stood at its estuary. 14:04 The Oberalppass has a large underground railway station serving the ski tourists in winter. 15:25 The Bündner side of the pass is actually much more spectacular than the Urner side. The valley is much narrower and you shed or gain a lot of height very quickly. 17:33 There's always roadwork going on on the passes in summer. Things have to be made ready to survive the winter, even if they can't be used then. 18:17 That road leads off to the dam in Val da Curnera 19:30 If you could look down to the right there, you'd see a little rivulet by the name of "Vorderrhein" ;-) It came down from the Tomasee and will soon be joined by another arm coming down from the Val da Curnera 20:55 To the right you can see the mouth of the Val da Curnera, where another major tributary of the early Rhine comes down from. 24:03 Temporary cable cars like this are the workhorses of construction in the mountains. 25:12 When driving in the mountains, you always have to be prepared to drive over unpaved sections. Often times in Switzerland, temporary bridges and even tunnels are constructed, but in the high mountains, that is regularly impossible. So take care what car you bring, your super sports car might come out a little worse for wear on the underside. 30:57 Beautiful railway bridges like that make the landscape look like it was taken straight from a model train arrangement...

Not really, but I have lived in Switzerland for four years. Been up and down there at least four times. Ive done most passes in eastern Switzerland at least once.
