The most beautiful and unique architectural style of the city belongs to museums, theaters and libraries.
Baku is also known for its unique Oil Rocks in the world. Oil Rocks, located in the center of the Caspian Sea, is the oldest and most populous coastal oil city in the world. This area includes ancient oil fields, famous oil rocks, rare deep-sea basins, modern well drilling mechanisms.

Some new, pretentious buildings of modern architecture and classic cheesy style which contrast with the old ones, many of them quite poorly kept. Desolate, kitschy area overall.
