Being a Tallinner myself, I am not sure about the cleanliness. I constantly see trash lying around and wondering why so many people would have the urge to throw their bag of chips, when it is empty, into a pond. Not even next to the pond, but necessarily INTO the pond. And why is this bag still there in a month because the cleaning companies clean only what they are supposed to clean and the pond is not on their list. So never mind the chips bag being there 3 meters from the street they are cleaning. And the chips bag is just a representative of zillions of stupid trash things like that. I am not naming any names of any particular national groups but it is mostly people from a certain national group who leave their shit lying around. Because they feel no loyalty to this country as they are rootless and soulless people who do not belong anywhere. You can maybe guess who i am talking about.

This seems to be the best presentation video of Tallinn after 33 years of independence. A very comprehensive drive, but there are much more to see in Tallinn suburbs - and the traffic-free mediaeval old town of course. Thank you so much!

My experience driving in Tallinn recently was not that calm. It felt more something like welcome "to the jungle" or "wild west". Here in Finland if you want to change lanes, you will signal and people will make way for you, pretty much always. Well here I tried to do the same and was honked on instead, and the driver on the other lane behind me just floored it to close the gap and almost hit me, just so that I couldn't fit in. I then missed where we were supposed to go. What a welcome. People would constantly pass you from the right with huge overspeeds, and when there's red lights straight ahead, people would just floor it right down there to the lights, it feels like they are in such hurry that when they finally get to their destination they should continue their way by running. Very difficult to change lanes in this place and just all around horrible with the traffic. Very different compared to Finland, we have it much more civilized here TBH. Next time I'll leave the car home that's for sure.
@solotraveleruae50274 ай бұрын
I'm lucky, I didn't see all this, in Finland the driving was really good, I didn't understand TBH ,thank you very much for your details 🙏🙏
@SimPapara4 ай бұрын
More civilized? Fins really do think too much about themselves... BTW Actaully if you want to change lane then its your responsibilty to make sure you can do it. Its regulated in traffic code. If you cant change lane then you should proceed on your current lane. Maybe you have different laws in Finland.

As an Estonian constantly driving in Tallinn, i completely agree. Estonians have grown arrogant and part of it shows in the traffic. I am constantly feeling like i would be only Estonian that still drives by the law. And honestly, i don't know why everyone likes speeding and doing crazy manoeuvres in traffic.. when i drive relaxed, i really enjoy it.
@HelenGolovina-y9h4 ай бұрын
@@MrJuwarra I am also Estonian and I think traffic has gotten much more polite and less arrogant in recent years. To all Finns: in Estonia we do not have the tradition of signalling when you want to change lanes. Signalling here is something that is considered quite arrogant and we are taught in driving lessons to avoid signalling as much as possible because you might create a dangerous situation by startling someone. So if at all possible, we do not signal. Signalling means you are angry at someone. So it is not a good idea to tell all the cars you are angry with them if you want them to do you are favour and let you into their lane. Instead, you might try switch on the turning signal. Maybe this is what you meant, i don't know. But not the signalling SOUND. This is considered rude. And like some people here have already said, changing lanes is your own responsibility. It is not something that OTHER drivers will have to worry about for you. There may be some nice drivers who will let you in but you cannot expect the first car to do this. I don't think the drivers have become arrogant. I think the bikers and such have become arrogant, signalling and honking on pavements. This is seriously rude. They should not even be riding there, not to mention honking.

Anywhere in Germany, northern half of France, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Czechia, Austria, Switzerland, UK, Ireland. In those places summer is mostly 17C to 25C. And almost NEVER above that. Those are the temps of the EARLY spring here in southern Europe, in April, or of the fall in October. Regarding places like Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, southern France, Cyprus, Malta, Serbia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Hercegovina, parts of Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Moldova, Ukraine. You want hot sunny summer, using AC, fans, icecreams, wearing real light summer clothes, drinking COLD juices, eating watermelons, getting a tan fast and easy, you go to one of these places.
