This is great. My dad actually trains soldiers in running convoys through dangerous areas in a virtual simulator, the funny part is that it's using the same engine just a lot less refined.

Herring bone is a pattern of setting vehicles into a protective posture. Basically each vehicle will go to either side and face out at an angle. It makes it easy for them to turn back onto the route of travel while making the covering of all sides possible.

When the convoy stops, the vehicles are supposed to peel off the road alternating left and right. It makes a kind of a herringbone pattern, hence the name.

They're vehicles with improvised armament, such as offroads with Dushkas, SPGs and the like. The word comes from when humanitary aid companies had to order "Technical help" from local mercenary bands to protect their convoys - with vehicles with improvised armaments.

Dslyecxi, would you be willing to do a run through the helicopter showcase in ArmA 3? Out of curiosity, how much friendly fire goes on during one of these missions. One would think that even with all the organization that happens beforehand, there would still be some friendly fire, given the sheer scale of everything going on in the mission.

I'm propably not the best person to answer... But if you're not using ACE and ACRE up to this point, you're doing a mistake. They both add loads of immersion, though you won't give ACRE any use if you're not playing in a group.

Dslyecxi, do you use your pedals to steer, since it would be really smooth and it is the same yaw axis or do you use it as break and throttle/gas like a real car?
@juicetang507911 жыл бұрын
Hey Dslyecxi, can you dynamically speed up and slow down? Like a real gas peddle. Maybe with your rotter peddles? Hitting W in short bursts to drive slowly is jittery and generally doesn't work for me.

@Dslyecxi I have an awesome idea for a fun mission, the best sniper you have in shacktac vs everyone else that joins, the sniper and M107or AS50 with rangefinders and Binos with NVGS in ruck. The snipers obj is to survive and kill as many people, everyone has to use skills to find and kill sniper(sniper should have no tracers or very little)
@aussiemilitant448611 жыл бұрын
Agreed, while i enjoy some of the content in his videos, its mostly his attitude/ego/personality thats off putting. His mate Upchuck is more humble and viewer friendly. But Dslyecxi and his band of brothers in ShackTac all seem to have the right attitude.
