Driving Off Route 66 in Small Town Chenoa, IL Past Victorian Houses, Old Churches & Brick Roads

Driving through small town Chenoa, Illinois off of historic Route 66. The town was founded in 1854. There are several beautiful old churches and victorian era houses in Chenoa. Its a beautiful, quiet town that is full of history and beauty.
The town's school system closed the end of the school year in 2004. They consolidated with nearby Prairie Central School District.

I grew up there, well in Weston, but Chenoa was the 'town'...Sometimes i miss it there, but now after seeing this, I don't miss it a bit! Bleak, cold, drab, run-down, colorless, and dead...Summers were nice and green, I guess.

Well, to be fair, it was a dreary and rainy day. LOL... But I can understand not liking the changes, though. A lot of small towns in America are drying up, and there's not a lot going on. The older I get, the more I prefer the small, charming, and quiet towns like Chenoa. Thank you for sharing your memories and watching my video!

So, at one point you asked where is the Dollar General. Without hesitation I shouted out, "it is behind you". Same road as Casey's, but on the other end of town. Thanks for the memories!
