Very nice. This is already Alpine landscape. Reminds me of my vacations in Italian Alps this summer. China has so much potential for mountain tourism with endless mountain ranges. A very spectacular mountain road, not yet paved on most sections. The landscape looks somewhat similar to The Dolomites in The Alps. A lot of traffic there, I think mostly tourists. Had a great time watching the video, thanks for sharing, greetings from a road-tripper from Germany!

This is different from the other videos you have posted. The mountains aren't covered in forest but in tiny grasses. I particularly enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It is really beautiful out there! Thank you, sir.

The altitude here mostly prohibits trees from surviving. There are instances where there are small trees found at over 10,000 ft or around 3100 meters+. Trees need a good supply of oxygen and earth for their water and nutrients. The higher the altitude, the less likely the trees will grow. Just something I have researched over the years while watching these magnificient videos.

Thank you, sir! The western part of China has a high altitude, so it is dominated by grasslands and large rocky mountains. Compared with low-altitude areas, the scenery here looks broader and rough.

Did you ever go over the Jiangnan Heavenly Road ?? Aka Anhui Sichuan-Tibet Line??? That would absolutely be a freaky drive. Not for the faint of heart and newbies as far as I can tell. Just saw a short video of the highway. Hope whomever goes over it doesn't have vertigo.. This road trip was totally awesome!! Rugged country, rough roads, and beauty as far as the eye could see. I was just wondering if the yaks are wild or domesticated. They are magnificent creatures!!! The shiny coats that glimmer in the sun are stunning. Thank you for taking a risk over this bumpy road, so we could see the beauty that not a lot of outsiders would ever be able to see otherwise. P.S. The sofa in your camera needs to be changed or cleaned.. someone (not me), may have lost their lunch or shat themselves on it... lol!! (just kidding).🤣🤣🤣🤣🥰🥰

Thanks! Yes, I walked through the Anhui Sichuan-Tibet Line! I have posted videos before, the road there is very narrow and dangerous. The road was very bumpy today, but I thought the scenery was prettier. The yaks you see are raised by others and are not wild. Ha ha! You're so cute!

No, Gansu is at the central area of China , while Tibet is at the South West of China. Both are Chinese however. Sichuan and Yunnan are provinces in China that have been part of several Chinese dynasties and they are also Tibetan at the westernmost areas.
