Driving on the Tianzhu Mountain Scenic Area Tourist Road - Anhui Province, China - 4K HDR
Tianzhu Mountain, located in the western mountains of Qianshan City, Anqing City, Anhui Province, is also known as Qianshan, Wanshan, Wangong Mountain (from which the abbreviation "Wan" in Anhui Province comes), Longevity Mountain, Wanshan, etc. It is a component (or called the remaining vein) of the eastern extension of the Dabie Mountains. Generally refers to the mountainous area in Qianshan City centered on its main peak, Tianzhu Peak, and sometimes refers to its main peak, Tianzhu Peak (geographical coordinates: 116°27′ east longitude, 30°43′ north latitude). According to aerial measurements in 1980, the main peak's altitude was 1,488.4 meters. In 2008, the National Bureau of Surveying and Mapping re-measured it to 1,489.8 meters.
Tianzhu Mountain presents natural landscapes such as strange peaks, rocks, caves, and canyons, and is famous for its majesty, strangeness, spirit, and beauty. The vegetation in Tianzhu Mountain is luxuriant, with a forest coverage rate of 97%. The negative oxygen ions, known as "air vitamins", are three times the national level I standard. Bai Juyi, the great poet of the Tang Dynasty, praised it in his poem "Inscribed on Tianzhu Peak": "One peak of Tianzhu holds up the sun and moon, and the cave door is locked with clouds and thunder.
Tianzhu Mountain has the only ultra-high pressure metamorphic belt in the country, the largest exposed area and the deepest exposure in the world. Especially its collapse pile landform is praised by geologists as the most beautiful granite landform in the world. It is also known as the "Leaker of the Earth" ". Literary writers describe it as a "mountain jungle" and a "stone palace". In September 2011, it was officially approved by UNESCO to become a world geopark.
Tianzhu Mountain is ranked as one of the three famous mountains in Anhui Province (Huangshan Mountain, Jiuhua Mountain, and Tianzhu Mountain) due to its unique natural landscape. As early as Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, it was named "Nanyue" and there have been cultural activities throughout the ages. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was developed into Anqing Tianzhu Mountain Scenic Area, which has successively won the titles of national key scenic area, national natural and cultural heritage site, national forest park, and national AAAAA tourist attraction.
