I used the bridge in late 1969/1972 when it first opened, there use to be a .60 cent charge each way. Thank you for taking me back to Coronado.

I got a jar of sand from Coronado Beach at my home in Minnesota. It's white and very fine and soft. It gives me pleasant memories during our long harsh winters.

San Diego is a very beautiful place to check out. The city is a very laidback one and it has tons of things to do. Which is why I would recommend this place to anybody who is looking for a vacation getaway. Plus the best part is that I can fly from where I live to San Diego in an hour and five minutes!
@francescoavila5986 жыл бұрын
ThePaulPiper actually San Diego is a bit overrated as a vacation spot,the water is cold, polluted,and riptides kill many..most of the restaurants serve expensive mediocre food..and once you see the zoo and sea world there isn't much left to do.

This was back before the palm weevil destroyed the majority of Canary Island date palms. I just watched a similar recent video and there was no date palms. What a shame.

In response to your email. YES. my unvle was the first...the ONLY first to cross the Coronada Bridge. I listened as he told how traffic was waiting to cross and he was the first one. No other traffic crossed simultaneously. He was the very first to cross it! There was no hold up and no other traffic coming from any other direction before he crossed it.
