It brouht me some memories . I had arrived with my boyfriend the beach in Santa Barbara , with no place to , beacause his brother that invited us didn't receive us , so we spent the night fighting with other, no where to go , no money. And this guy in a car passed by me , as i was lying where the dolphin fountain is mad and sad and my boyfriend was acting crazy and running , hiding 😢 this really nice guy that passed by me , yelled to me go straight to rainbow , over the rainbow and left .. I herd him and i saw him leave . thanks goodness it was a summer night. Woke up next morning and walked straight down on the right of the beach, untill i saw the rainbow , i followed it and came across Casa Esperanza, a homeless shelter!! I was sooo grateful . that guy in the car saved me , my angel , i'm soo grateful !! Thank you ! I hope u have many good bleesings from God as i have ! U were one of my angels and one my blessings !!! May our good angels and blessings continue for ever !! Thanks to our mighty God ❤❤❤❤ where you are !! Hopefully you happy and healthly with your family ❤❤❤

Eyyy you drove past my parents' house :). I grew up in SB but I live in Europe now. It has been gloomy and rainy for several weeks now and I was feeling homesick. Thank you so much for this little nostalgia trip. Could almost smell the Pacific Ocean for a minute there.

Very nicely encapsulated tour of Santa Barbara. I drove cab there for many years & I often thought how fortunate I was to drive cab in such a beautiful town. It is certainly one of the worlds most beautiful cities, & so clean too. I have been away from SB 25 years now, living in a small town (3500 pop) in N Calif, which in spite of Santa Barbara's amazing Beautiy & warm Sunny weather, I much prefer. I moved to Santa Barbara 54 years ago when I was 20. :) Watching your video you could stop it at any point and I could tell you exactly where that is. You came within 2 blocks of passing my place. I have never been to Santa Barbara or America in general in my life. But my father traveled there in the mid-eighties and told me about it. I see now that it is beautiful, even though I have never traveled there. God willing, I will go to America

I lived here for 15 years. One thing you'll notice riding through Montecito: no street lights anywhere. I always loved that. So much nicer at night without them.

I was in Santa Barbara for the first time in the 90s with two friends. We were young, it was Fiesta Week - we had such a great party! Later on I returned there several times with my family. Now I wonder with some sadness whether I will ever be able to travel to Santa Barbara again. Europe is so far away and the USA has unfortunately become very expensive. The cool, grey, cloudy weather you're experiencing is normal for this time of year in Santa Barbra. In fact, Californians have a name for this late Spring overcast : there's "May Grey," "June Gloom", & "No Sky July". Without fail you will experience "June Gloom". You will find this weather pattern or marine layer all along the coast from San Diego up towards San Francisco. I live in Los Angeles and I personally adore June Gloom because it's like air conditioning. I also know the unbearable summer heat is soon to follow. Unfortunately, tourists are always the last to know and are always taken aback by how gloomy it can be in California.

I did all my schooling and lived in Santa Barbara for 30 years. I made a lot of money running my business there and never once did I have a customer screw me over. I have met nothing but rock solid quality and friendly humans in Santa Barbara. Even doing contract work for Uber wealthy people in Montecito was a pleasure.

May I ask what type of work did u do? It’s ultra rare to have 100% good customers in any industry

@@Relaxing.Scenes.Driving Solar electric systems, but primarily high-end battery based solar, well water systems, and environmental remediation projects. 12 years and never even had a close call with respect to someone not paying me or suing me or general trouble etc. Very small team averaging about $100,000 per month in sales. Again, nothing but super nice and respectful customers. It was super busy and it did burn me out in the end. These days I make even better money and work from home doing technical support while sitting on my couch. 😂👍
