Love the report. I find the Tesla postcodes can be a bit vague as to actual location. I wish they would state hotel or wherever as well to make it easier. Never mind, grateful for Tesla opening up and of course the price.

The tesla app is easy to use for non tesla charging . Set it up ready with your bank card , mine's been on the app for 12 months , and this was the 1st I've used it 👌

Top e-car the eniro got longer legs than my bladder as well as we have one. I worked for 25 years on loading vehicle ferries and never pushed a ice car on board 'cos your going to have to push it off the other end and it's going to be up the loading ramp 😨. If it won't start it don't goo.

For info, you should have taken the next exit to get to the radstone. The charger is only about a mile from the junction. You probably realised this when you rejoined. Your car has great range. My MG4 is lucky to get 250 miles.

Hi Allan , yes i realised this when i rejoined the M74 not half a mile from the Hotel 😀 Yes the 'old shape' e niro is brilliantly efficient, yesterday the 350 miles was a mix of heavy rain , wind , and motorway driving ( at 60/ 70 mph) and still had a good 4.5 miles per kWh

We had a similar problem with EV Power. It wouldn't accept our credit cards so had to download their app. It's not the first time this has happened at charging stations.

Yes , these contact payment systems need to improve on public chargers.

I’ve come south from the north to the show too - no problems charging at Ionity Carlisle where I had the site to myself! Today I dropped into Gridserve Scotch Corner (not to charge but to see how busy it was) and only half the dispensers were in use. I charged up to 80% at the new chargers at Wetherby Road Starbucks (these are EVpoint units) in Harrogate - 2 chargers 4 cables and 65p/kW and again had the place to myself. Took 3 attempts to get 38kW into my new Mini Countryman S E’s 65kWh battery - 1st one took £15 but then didn’t connect, changed to the other CCS cable on the same unit and all well until 12kW had been delivered and the charger stopped - another £15 gone from my bank! 3rd time I disconnected and reconnected and the last 26kW went in fine but another £15 deducted from my account! So far I’ve had only £7.15 returned to my account……… there’s a big hub at the Sainsbury superstore down the road from Starbucks but they want 89p/kW - no thank you!

That Tesla charger was a bit slow I would have thought you should have got around 76-77kWh!

The e niro 'peaks' at 77kW at around 40% (for about 5 minuites) SOC then it tails off again

Ive been getting increasingly concerned about public charging JP, after 8 years it’s probably much worse than id expected it to Be. Pulling 54kw on a V4 makes me feel like Elon has made a huge mistake :-( - not your fault - but I feel like we’ve went seriously backwards with SuC’s. Not helped by red tape Britain of course. Thinking dino juice again :-(

The 54kW speed it down to the e niro maxing out at 77kW at around 40% , then it backs off.
