In my opinion pupil got confused due to that black car on the same junction. I belive if that car wasn't there pupil would have crossed that junction properly. Better luck next time.

Atif Hammed Yes you are correct but for some reason pupils get confused because they're nervous. Safe driving for life.

Was the fault he was going to go into the wrong lane/turning lane before he changed his mind?
@petermalone6688 Жыл бұрын
Victoria G At 16:36 he makes two mistakes at the same junction. The first mistake he attempted to cross against oncoming traffic, he suddenly realised and changed direction but made a second mistake by turning right from the middle left lane. Good luck with your driving test.

Thats a dangerous fault, I'm surprised they continued the test, most examiners would take them back instantly
@petermalone668810 ай бұрын
@Metis1337 The examiner marked it down as a serious fault and they stopped taking them back after the Covid restrictions, so I am assuming you are a driving instructor because you said most examiners would take them back instantly. You sound like you know what most examiners would do.??

I'd of positioned behind the black car as best I could, then move up to give way as normal, kept in lane as i proceeded, but the poor guy was on test, so will be nervous. Good job there was no cars coming into that junction that he headed into first, It has to be one of the worst in Liverpool, think that's why driving examiners take them there!

@davidbowie2046 you are spot on but i have to, be careful what I say because I am a driving Instructor but i can say you know the score. Safe driving for life.

Did he fail?
@petermalone6688 Жыл бұрын
Sophie Cribb Yes, he failed his test and yes, we have practiced that junction a few times but am afraid the test nerves can make you panic. Good luck with your driving test.

@@petermalone6688 Would you be able to Explain to me how to cross that junction, if im right, you have to be in the right lane to turn right and on the left to go straight? also if there is a car on your right, do they stop for you or do you stop for them, in my opinion they have to stop. Also if there is a car on the left hand lane in front of me just like in the video, do i procede to cross the junction of do i stop abit before that so oncomming cars can turn. Sorry for the long paragraph in advance.

@@huzaifa4069 It's difficult to explain but if you go to 16:15 in the video stop it and watch where the white van goes that will be your right turn. The problem most learners have is the early position turning right at this junction as you can see Adam went too far right because of the road marking for turning right which is the way everyone is taught. But because people have rules and regulations stuck in their head and panic when they see road markings and junctions as complex as this one, your emotions are five times faster than your logic. Common sense would have said aim to the left of the white triangle with the point facing your car that is an early warning give way ahead you should aim here where the front of the black car is waiting. In regard to who has the right of way when you get there, that is a problem for all drivers but more so when you're learning my advice would be never take priority, always give it or be given it remember assess, act, and then decide if it's safe to proceed. Good luck with your driving test.
