This is a very good video. And also very informative. Good job. What was the hardest part, you think? I was thinking of doing this Valley july this year (3 days from Karakul to Khorong. What cars did you have? I was thinking Toyota LC or Prado - maybe you can recommend the rental? If you have Instagram I would love to see something more 😊

Hi, i'm from spain. I was in the Bartang Valley on july 20, last year (2023) and we can't do the full road. We reach Gudara from khorog with no problems but the section at river level 10 km pass Gudara was completely flooded. In this video, that section is partialy flooded. This IS four us the difficult part. in our case, impossible part. Then, we did the Pamir to Karakul and the upper Bartang Almost for 100 km, with no problems. July is when the river rises due to the snow melting. I recomend do the Bartang in the mid June. Or maybe in August. Only in two days, when we go back from Gudara to Rushan, the river rises about 30 cm and a lot of small sections were flooded. Only in two days! But we were able to pass. Next months i Will upload some videos.

I' m talking about the 4:30 min part in the video. One month later, there was no road. Only the river for at least 300 meter. Anyway....every year is different.

Hi MrSelethen, thank you! So it is hard to judge what the most difficult part is. It can be different depending on the year and time. It seems that we were lucky with the conditions and it was all doable. We had our own car, so no info about rentals. We had a Toyota LC and Hiace as you can see in the video. Any good 4x4 should be fine. You can see a few pictures from the trip here: instagram.com/hiace.4wd
