Hopefully it will come in a touring versjon soon because a BMW should have at least stright six cylinder engine not four....If it comes in a touring modell I will consider buy my first new BMW....

Hi! what is the total range you can achieve with a full fuel tank and full batteries, if you are driving on autobahn, 150-160kph?

How much is performance compromised when the battery is flat? Is there anyone on here who owns a 545e and knows what it’s like to live with?

The car keeps enough battery to get full performance always, I have not seen any performance degradation yet in mine. The car is mostly the same as a regular 5 Series except the boot capacity is smaller, the range is about 45km if you drive on conservatively in electric mode and coast a lot to regenerate the battery. For me if the battery capacity was bigger it would be the perfect car but as it is it's phenomenal, the performance is exceptional.

@@harvesterofsorrow111 have you noticed an increase in your electricity bill from charging? Do you think it’s more than the savings from owning a hybrid?

@reversoworld5348 I calculate a full charge costs about 2 euro which when driving conservatively would give me 45km and here that would be cheaper than the price of fuel. Though I would say not to buy this car with the intention to save money as when you're on petrol power it is thirsty enough. I had a 420d before this and it was much cheaper to run
