The 2021 Subaru XV or the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek is one of the safest AWD subcompact crossovers available today. The 2021 Subaru XV has a symmetrical AWD system that keeps it sure-footed in the rain or snow. In this Filipino car review, I drive the Subaru XV for one week and in heavy rains to see what sort of safety features we can expect. The 2022 Subaru XV or 2022 Subaru Crosstrek may arrive soon, but even this current 2021 Subaru XV is still a compelling choice for a subcompact AWD crossover. There is only 1 other subcompact SUV that has AWD, and that is the Suzuki Vitara All-Grip Select. The Geely Azkarra Luxury is also an AWD, but it is a compact crossover. The 2021 Subaru XV drives great especially in the rain. The 2021 Subaru Xv has the same engine as the 2021 Subaru Forester, but the XV feels better to drive because of the lower weight.

I drove almost the entirety of TPLEX in zero visibility in my XV. Eyesight wasn’t working coz of extremely heavy rain but the drive was smooth and steady AF. After that drive, I knew I made the best choice of what car to get.

I honestly think that more than commitent, you do your reviews on a Sunday because there's less traffic :) On another note, I remember on your comparisson of the Subaru Forester vs Honda CRV (base gas variant), you mentioned that the acceleration of Forester is not that punchy or something. Could it be that the Forester also need an Italian tune-up?

The Forester with larger body is heavier hence the same 2.0l engine with identical power will have tougher time pulling it as compared to the XV. 1580kg Forester curb weight vs 1445kg XV

safety, check! but how does it perform with flooded streets though? 220 ground clearance, it looks lower than that.
