This dude is awesome. The third story sounds like a micro burst. They are concentrated areas of downward flowing air that can really do some damage. I've seen big parts of forests completely flattened by them. This would also explain why he felt so much pressure coming down on him (because there was) and why the rain was coming upwards. On the outer edges of a microburst the air flows along the ground and then swirls upwards. So he must have been in the center of one and then it or he moved to the outer edge.

OK seriously, this man is an inspiration. Murphy's Law has not even attempted to smack me around close to half as much as it has succeeded with Mr. Christopher Michaels. The fact that everything can go wrong and he still makes it out and is a personal success to boot makes me smile as I think, why can't I be one too. Time to make some moves and see what happens.

Normally it drives me crazy to see people who draft on tractor-trailers, (or worse, ride a lane over in their blind spot for half an hour without passing them,) but I think this is the only time where someone has said, "the safest thing to do is pick distance behind them and stick to their tail," and been like, "you know what, that actually makes sense here."

I've been all over the world, seen amazing miracles. Nothing compairs to a Kansas sunset after a storm. Spend a night in the flint hills during tornado season and you wont be disappointed.

@@cudwieser3952 lol yes and no. They dont rip thru the hills most the time. But right outside of salina it's all flat. You an see the tornado's rip across the fields from safe distance. Its something wild to see.

From a stuffy morning, feeling hung over to a sharp awakening followed by a deep breath of encouraging air in the afternoon or evening . A smell of the earth and a feel of a cool breeze. Makes you happy to be alive...or so I've heard.
