@@shulestuff I went to school in Martin Luther primary(aka martini) in Makadara constituency and also near Buruburu phase 5 and that was from the early 80s to early 90s...anyway,I used to see Tamaa bin Tamaa as a primary school kid all the time walking around Jericho(Jeri) as that's where he lived,he was very down to earth despite his fame and popularity...he was also a good actor and funny as hell..may he R.I.P.

Loving this walk through memory lane, thanks for the video. Grew up in Buruburu as a kid before relocating to London 25yrs ago, it's not an exaggeration to say we had the best childhood memories in this Estate, it's definitely changed a lot since the 80s and 90s, dilapidated in some ways but yet modern too. Great video!

I grew up in Biafra,BuruBuru,Umoja,Tena the place used to be a Kichaka,Doonholm(Doni) and Savannah(Savo) estates in that order,dating from the early 80s to early 2000 am currently based in the US....I see the neighborhoods have really changed over the years...the roads are smooth...and they even have flyovers...in my day Jogoo road was only a two lane road and very small and Buru has changed over the years and NOT for the better...it was considered 'Ubabini'(Posh)for the Nairobi people that lived there in the 70s and 80s....anybody remembers the Mausoleum those days? Cool video though will definitely visit Kenya and Tour my old hoods.

Boss, atleast you took us inside Buru, that’s my kijiji. Umoja ndani is an eyesore. Buru would have been like donholm were it not for homeowners associations. The real estate prices in Buru have gone down, it’s not highly valued as before.

One thing I have come to realize is that in Kenya especially on the Nairobi highway no traffic rules you can overtake from the left or from the write side hahaha I was wondering when I was picked up by my family from the airport so one big smoky lory was driving in the middle line of the road one car passing by write side and another one at left side hahaha, I was shocked to see this but the guy said to me no here we drive like that, I said oh ok,

One could safely walk any time from Outering/Kariobangi to Jogoo Rd. It is no longer safe! I had to be escorted by a guard to go out and get some stuff at the shopping center at 9 pm!
