Ludowici /ˌluːdəˈwɪsi/ is a city in Long County, Georgia, United States. The population was 1,703 at the 2010 census[4] and an estimated 2,221 in 2018.[5] The city is the county seat of Long County.[6] It is a part of the Hinesville-Fort Stewart metropolitan statistical area.
The town, which was originally called Johnston Station, had its beginnings in the 1840s when the Atlantic and Gulf Railroad established a stop referred to as "Four and a Half".[7] The station was constructed across from the house of a landowner named Allen Johnston.
The Long County Courthouse and Ludowici Well Pavilion are listed on the National Register of Historic Places listings in Long County, Georgia.

It is pronounced 'Loo dough wiss see', but spelled Ludowici. There was once a clay tile manufacturer in this town in the early 20th century, which manufactured Ludowici Clay Roof Tiles. The gazibo in town, you can see some of the original clay tiles.

I lived there as a child - began 1st grade there. You should really stop and ask the locals how to pronounce the name of the town if you continue doing these videos. you are so wrong.

Being from Savannah there was 4 of us 2 boys n 2 girls my mom was the home maker while dad was in the army sp we traveled constantly lived in hinesville then moved to ludowichi april 1985 n spent that whole Summer there then went back to the elementary school with my little sister while me my older brother n sister went to the high school up front anyway most of the town the teachers princibles preachers cops was kkk members we thought was our friends we was to young to understand one hot summer Day we was all outside with our neighbors in our trailer park with black and white residents getting along then about 100 kkk members dressed in white sheets come marching by us being from Savannah we was some uppety negros some we was warned by other black residents to stay in line or something will happen ro us then one morning we wake up to our Doberman pincher dead she was poisened then one day my morher came to grab all 4 of us out of school in the middle of the day to sneak us back to n good Savannah good thing my peranta got us out of there when they did cause the following night our trailer burned down plus it was all the way isolated outback of the trailer park in the dark woods so it was easy to do evil n get away with it whoever set our house on fire intended to kill all 6 of us my mother was 31 dad was 26 older brother was 14 older sister was 12 i was 10 n my little sister was 10 we had no idea the danger we was facing in that little kkk Town but God moved us out of there back to safety of our family in Savannah.
