That's all we did was road trips, some were great some were not good lol, my grandma was sick on one, my mom blew her knee on another, but I have to say over all the good ones made up for the bad ones, and yup we had car trouble too and quite a few of them, but we made the best out of a bad thing. Glad you're car trouble was a easy fix.

Our family drove to Disney World from Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦 back in August 2015. 17 family members in four separate vehicles. We left 2 days late than originally planned. We were suppose to leave on a Wednesday but left on a Friday late afternoon and our check in was Monday. We drove all afternoon and night on Friday (no sleep) and all day Saturday till 4am Sunday. Stopped at Rockford, IL to get a few hrs of 💤 at Shell rest stop off hwy 39. 7am Sunday, drove all day till 3-4am Monday and slept at a Motel 6 in Atlanta, GA. Checked out at 11am, checked in Art of Animation 12 hrs later Monday night. Would do it all over again. 🚗 all night our first night was agreed on but unfortunately our second night, rooms were booked everywhere! So we just agreed to drive till we got into Rockford. We were lucky enough find 4 available rooms in Atlanta but prior to motel6, we stopped at 4 other hotels that hadn't had any available rooms. The drive was awesome and memorable 😊. Your vlog brought back some good memories. Oh and we had walkie talkies between our 4 vehicles, checking on each other while driving. It was super fun 😁

When we drive from NJ we counted how many waffle houses we saw. Then I took pictures of the water towers. 😝. Something to do on the long drive. We even did a where is flat Stanley kind of thing too.

South of Border! I always remember seeing billboards for that place usually when you get closer to South Carolina border and you get bombarded with them along the interstate. Used to stop there because I always got off that exit to get to Myrtle Beach from there, which is another 1 and a Half to 2 Hours. Honestly though it doesn't seem quite as popular as it used to be, especially since the theme park section closed.

going through Virginia and the Carolinas did you ever stop at Shoney's?? It's a pretty good southern chain. Almost like a Denny's and there's several of them along 95.

I have never been to the Shoney’s myself. I will have to check it out sometime! My parents have been to one before years ago and my Dad says he remembers the Hawaiian chicken was his favorite!

@@MagicalMeg the plan is to drive 12 hours the first day, so somewhere around Fayetteville NC, then the final 8 hours the next day.

@@ryanviveiros5992 that’s a great way to break it up! North Carolina is a good stopping point! Fayetteville is actually where we stopped on our drive from Disney heading back home to PA. We stayed at the Tru by Hilton in Fayetteville if you are looking for a hotel. It was great. Very modern room, friendly staff and a complimentary breakfast!

Thanks! We almost have the same countdown! We’re traveling from Oklahoma! This will will be our first time driving there! We have always flown there in the past but we have a second trip planned for end of November so we decided to try driving for this trip! This will also be our first time at flower and garden too!

The car started stalling when we would go to give it the gas from being stopped. The shop we went to instantly found the problem. What happened was the local garage my grandmother took the car to at home before the trip for an oil change overfilled it and the extra oil was clogging a sensor which cause the stalling. The shop we went to was able to get us straightened out and back on the road quick!
