Robert, I just arrived in Alamogordo today. Parked at the KOA and turned on your latest video you just posted 13 hours ago! We are following your tract. Came up through Texas, stayed at Brantley Lake State Park and went to Carlsbad Caverns yesterday and going to White Sands tomorrow. We have a 2023 Winnebago 2108TB. You influenced our purchase. We are normally in South Florida this time of year but Hurricane Ian kept us out of our home for now. We decided to try a RV road trip for a couple months. Headed to Arizona and California. We will keep following you, just now a month later. Keep traveling! Thanks!

Robert, anytime you are in West Texas again you should consider visiting Palo Duro Canyon and Caprock Canyon state parks. They are pretty close to each other and offer camping and easy to moderate hiking trails. I recommend the light house trail at palo duro and the john haynes ridge overlook trail to the fern cave at caprock canyon. They are arguably both in the top 3 of all state parks in Texas. True gems, I have been out there more times than I can count.

Carlsbad is always a treat and renewed a memory from years ago... but there are no words to express the feeling you aroused at the White Sands. It was spectacular and despite your Garmin, I worried about your safe passage, seeing through your eyes another world. It was truly awesome. On another topic, I wanted to shout to you - "please watch your step..... I know what happens after you get to the campground. Glad you are in your home state and both of you can tend to wellness.

Since you said you would be returning... here are a couple more things in the Cloudcroft area.... In the 1980s I went to an Apple Festival in October in High Rolls, (I see they have a cherry festival in June), and there's National Solar Observatory and Sacramento Peak in Sunspot NM, 3010 Coronal Loop, Sunspot, NM . Either up there or somewhere along the way I remember being high enough to look out and see White Sands in the distance.

Robert - My wife and I have throughly enjoyed the whole traveling series you've made with your wife. This West series of January 2023 while in New Mexico at the famed Carlsbad Caverns brings in a memory of "trivia" if you will, the Hollywood film sc-fi classic of French novelist, Jules Verne: "Journey to the Center of the Earth" (1959), that starred the late British actor, James Mason; a young 20 something singer/actor, Pat Boone. Also beautiful European actress, Arlene Dahl. That movie is one of my favorites that was filmed alot at Carlsbad. I have the GoPro 9 camera and the "Media-Mod" and many attachments to carry the camera. The white sands on your travel - Is it "Lawrence of Arabia" ? ... another top favorite of mine? Maybe one of Eastwood's famous " Spaghetti Westerns" like " The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" [1966] ("...and so Blonde, it's goodbye.") lol! We sure hope you and the Mrs. heal quickly and get back on the road. Oh...love the newer music you added in last year.

Excellent sunset off I-10, due south of Carlsbad is Van Horn/Kent TX. Exit at Kent, drive 30 . up the mtn. to McDonalds Observatory next 15 min. to Ft Davis Natl. Park, then Alpine, and finally 2 hr drive to Del Rio TX. Park your RV at Governors Point, a high spot next to the lake, and along side the railroad bridge then watch the sun set through and beneath the bridge and glassy waters of Amistad Lake.

Great video as always. Always admire your bravery, but driving in the ice towing a trailer may have been a little too brave; but glad you pulled it off. I watch a towing YTer in the Smokies (Everything Autos) and he's pulling 4WD trucks off the sides of roads in icy weather all the time.

As they say in Texas, howdy partner! It's a good way to start Sunday morning...driving to the west with you again. I don't know if you took the natural entrance to Carlsbad Cavern on your other visit, but walking down the switchbacks into the "twilight zone" with the cave swallows chittering and flying all around it is one of my absolute favorite national park experiences. At the cooking segment that starts at 27:40--is that the knife that attacked Ily? The scenery on the Alkali Flats trail is fantastic...good to see you remembered your hiking shoes🙂 (They look like Merrill Moabs--good shoes, I have a couple of pairs myself) See you on Friday...happy trails!

This is one of the best, if not the best, travel youtube channels. My wife and I work out 9 to 5s or 4 to 430 like me just to come home and watch Robert do what he does. We are still on the back episodes. I have a suggestion, Robert. I don't think you have been to the Breaks Interstate Park on the VA Ky state line. They call it the Grand Canyon of the East . I used to live there before leaving 6 years ago to louisville due to employment issues because they shut down all the coal mines! Anyway I think you will enjoy it. Thanks Billy & Melissa
