Wonderful video. I lived on Signal Mountain from 5th grade to 12th grade (1978-1985).

before 111 opened this was the main way semi trucks came over. I'm not sure but I think at about 3:09 in your video there would have been a historical marker for I think it was wheelers raid or wagon train.

@@AndysJourneys it sucked when you got behind them. At the area of wheelers raid was what they called dead man's curve also. That is where a lot of semis wrecked headed to dunlap. US-127 maps.app.goo.gl/B5wBscGdjF8tHXJT8

It's nice to have that 4th option in the unlikely event there are multiple trees down on Signal Mtn Rd, W Rd & Robert's Mill Rd.
@AndysJourneys3 жыл бұрын
Yeah but that is a LONG way around if you need to get to Chattanooga :)

I thought you were talking about the W Road. That one would be very interesting. That one is what we Chattanooga natives call the "back side of Signal Mountain".
@AndysJourneys3 жыл бұрын
No I will be filming that sometime in the future though. :)
