The pedestrian comparison works miracles. If you struggle with smooth handling, learn the capabilities of the car you're driving and let me know how you go. Happy driving!

Hey driving school WA I have another question. So in a manual car is it possible to change gears without accelerating, such as say I'm swapping to gear 2 when I was in originally gear 3, I would change gear 2 and have my foot on my break, and then lift the clutch slowly up to the new gear 2 without any acceleration? The reason why I ask this is sometimes my driver instructor tells me to swap to gear 3, but then after i change to gear 3 there is a speed bump very close already, and then he says change back to gear 2, but I always have learnt that you need a bit of speed when changing gears, that means if I add speed to go back down to gear 2 that would mean I would add speed to the very close and upcoming speed bump when in reality you're meant to be slowing down. Another example is when approaching roundabouts, say if im originally in gear 4 and approaching a roundabout, he tells me to slow down then change to gear 2, is it possible, and am I MEANT TO OR NOT MEANT TO to use break only then lift up the clutch into gear 2, because FIRST of all its very weird if I keep my foot on the clutch at the same time as im turning and SECOND of all I havent actually fully finished changing into gear 2 first, that means if I were to turn in the roundabout without even fully changing gears first, my speed would be uncontrollably fast and dangerous. Sorry if this was hard to read and if you need clarification please reply

Hey driving school WA, im a beginner driver so please bare with me. I have a very dumb question. Could you give me a very descriptive reply on how to know when a car is coming your way in a round about? Sometimes my driving instructor says YES you can go, when originally I thought I couldn't and sometimes he says NO I can't go when originally I thought I could. For example on roundabouts I always hear give way to your right, so when I see a car on my right I hesitate and think it's coming to me when it's actually not, like how can I tell?? And sometimes there are roundabouts with no entrance to the right, so you have to anticipate where the car opposite to you is coming. Sorry I know im a bit dumb but i really want to become a good driver.

This is very true know your car well I used to think the instructor car would have some advantages over our car in PDA to be honest I failed badly in the instructor car but it was my car which saved me and to be honest your videos have been a reason as well for passing my manual test Steve 😊

Thanks for the feedback and I agree that you have to know your car but the lesson before the test has a big role. Thanks for sharing your experience 🙏

I did mine at Joondalup last month and the possible routes are usually Candlewood residence streets (Silk roads), Candlewood shopping centre carpark, Joondalup Arena (for stop for shopping and left something behind exercise) and the joondalup primary school park for reverse/forward parking from what I mostly know. Just stay calm and don't let a small minor affect your test :)
