With wool seats you get no massage. The Air Suspension selector doesn’t do what you suggested. It just switches it off when stationary e.g. in a workshop situation. You didn’t mention the heated front screen OR heads up display option. I went for the HUD as I’ve never had it. In retrospect the heated screen would have been more useful, even though it’s ok without it as the heating is all electric so no waiting for engine warm up. Apart from the painful way of selecting drive modes my other complaint is that you get whatever suspension setup Volvo decided goes with the power mode. E.g. you can’t drive in Hybrid mode with the lower sports suspension. You get only get the lowered suspension in Power or Pure modes. So you can’t combine the best economy (Hybrid) with the best handling (Power).

At 17:27 you show the car rising up an inch or two when put into "Off Road" mode. We have a new 2024 Volvo XC60 Recharge T8 AWD (Plus edition) and it does NOT do this. In fact, I don't see any trim version, option or even mention of air suspension anywhere. Are all of the trim levels supposed to do this or do you have some special option?
@serran06697 ай бұрын
The air suspension, at least here in Europe is an extra option that costs ~$3000.
@raisingjakestudios13717 ай бұрын
@@serran0669 - it seems the Air Suspension option may not be available here in the US for some reason. I asked several people at my dealership about it and they all gave me a "deer in the headlamp" look. I have also searched all of the available options on the Volvo "Build your Volvo" website and there is no mention of "leveling" or air suspension anywhere for any trim level, not even the top of the line Polestar edition. Volvo's are great, we had an XC70 for years. Shockingly good off-road with the right tires, but it's the Rodney Dangerfield of cars - everyone will cut you off, you'll never get let in and you wind up having to drive like a dick just to avoid it. Also, ours had terrible gas mileage and the brakes were marginal, which is why we sold it. Fun fact, Volvo make skidplates for a lot of their cars for "police" use, but you can just order them from the dealer.... Like @savagegeese said about all new cars, and his Volvo in particular, these are cars to lease and get rid of as soon as the warranty is over, unlike old Volvos which were 20 year cars.
