now Dr. jason i had a question, when you say youre activating a muscle, are you more focus on getting the muscle spindle response to kick in or is it more of loosening the muscle to equalize sarcomere length and stop the inhibition? I'm a current chiro student and have just been thinking a little about it trying to figure out whens the best time to do more fast oscillatory motions to activate a muscle or some form of ischemic compression to relax the muscle. Or is it always variable dependent on what you feel on palpation?

Yeah it was necessary. Could have gotten away with a tank top. But he needed skin contact for most of that. The muscle testing didn't need it, but the the manual therapy did.
