Great fishing and wonderful fish! The silver one was definitly hybrid, no doubt. Still magnificent fish. The rainbow was really big as well. Great work. I am in Mörrum from 14.-22. sept this year and i am hyped! I spent my anticipation by watching your septmever stuff. Amazing!

Thanks for sharing your clips about Mörrum river, really interesting. I'm a regular in fall season there, I love the surroundings area..not for fishing because it's really unpredictable. Last year, in 2021, I was fishing for ten days during last week of september. Unfortunately I haven't got nothing, searching for a "touch" everywhere...Harnas, Vittskokle, 1-32, etc...nothing. Very strange because Mörrum had always gave me some fishes at that time. What I have seen, year by year, a decadent fishing always too crowded and always lesser number of fishes. Why nobody ask for a "sustainable" number of fishermen and more catch&release policy??? Sorry for my idealistic point of view, but I'm an old fashioned angler who always had tried to save what remain about salmon flyfishing. Thanks Marco

Hi, Yes, it’s crowded. Especially the last two weeks of the season. But it’s not crowded everywhere and I think the key to succes these weeks is to find these forgotten places. Another game plan might be to instead of fishing the last week/weeks of the season instead fish the weeks before that, say the second and third week in September. Especially the night fishing is much better in late August and first week in September. /John

As always made we want to get out fishing. I'll be in Karlshamn at the beginning of August so wondered if you had any tips for the morrum at that time of year?

Hi, Normally in August the water flow is rather low so a floting line + a fast sink polyleader or float/intermiediate + a fast sink polyleader or a float/sink2 without a poly will do fine. If you are lucky the watertemparature is under 19 degree celsius, if it’s over 21 you’ll better save your money and do something else. Flies: Ullsock is always a good choice even though i personally prefere my own Goldeneye. /John

Hi, I’ll try to sort it out. You can book a permit as follows: - Pool 1-32. This classic stretch is about 3-4 km long and holds fish the whole season. It’s the strech nerest the Baltic. Day permit between 60-70 EUR. - VKH (Vittskövle, Knaggalid and Härnäs). Higher up the country (you need a car to reach Knaggalid and Härnäs). Vittskövle holds fish the whole season. Knaggalid and Härnäs are best in April, August and September. Day permit between 60-70 EUR - Pool 1-32+VKH. You can fish all the streches above. Day permit between 80-95 EUR. If you intend to fish in September this is the best choice. - Svängsta. This is a new stretch between Vittskövle and Knaggalid. I haven’t fished there. Day permit between 60-70 EUR. If you are 25 years of age (between 22-27) you have a 30% discount on all prices above. /John

Hi, I’m only in Mörrum two weeks in the summer on vacation with my family. How much I fish depends on the water temperature, it need to be under 20 degrees. Normally the waterflow is low in the summer so a floating line with a sink tip will do fine. /John
