My digs are so itchy I’ve tried everything I neeeeed help she’s so uncomfortable, I can’t even go to work , and leave her alone because of how much she’s biting into her skin and leaving her wounds, I have no one to watch her , it’s starting to get very hard to pay , I’m 25 with two rescue litter sisters, if I didn’t take them in they were going to get euthanized they were starved and abused , so it’s been a rollercoaster, I wouldn’t change it for the world 🙏🏻❤️💐 I just want her body to feel better

Another GREAT video, thank you ladies! Damn conventional vets! I've been seeing a lot of itching in other facebook groups and i try to invite them over to my group As Nature Intended, so they can educate themselves. This video will be a great one to share with them Judy, so again, a huge THANK YOU...lets help some of these dogs which are given unnecessarily meds for misdiagnosis because I'm suspecting that this goes on a LOT with conventional vets.. I'm also seeing antibiotics given at any chance, for things that can be treated with food therapy or natural topicals.. vets not looking at the cause which is sometimes cause through what the vest is doing to the poor dog.. Apoquel and drugs like this don't heal. My little shih tzu (9) has had problems scratching just like Gabby since she had her pups and I know that if I take her to the conventional vets here that they'll tell me its what I'm feeding and/or allergies when I KNOW its not.. Holistic vet will be taking a look at her again soon. I've learnt a lot over the years with video's like this and the latest Summit confirmed a few things with Missy to, especially Dr. Odette Suter presentation when she talked about nerves.

Hi I hope your Shih tzu is feeling much better now. Could they find the root problem? I have a 17 weeks Shih tzu too mines gets itchy after eating I think its food related her Dr visit is soon so I can't wait I will start making her food too. I think its best for her after watching these videos.

I have a 12 year 90 lb boxer/mastiff mix (that’s what I was told when I rescued her) and never really any issues at all. She has eaten kibble all her life, although I try and get the better of the kibble options. I have a soon to be 4 year old 70lb pure boxer which seems to be my problem child because she has been itchy which I know they can have issues. I switched her to raw food, not sure how long it was, but she still had some issues and do the vet suggested the hydrolyzed protein diet to rule out food as being the culprit but she’s been on this for about 6 months now and still runs her face on the ground or paws at her eyes and ears. Also scratches at her arm pits and you can see her skin is dry because she’s black. She doesn’t lose her fur or have any sores of any kind. Vet also said that it’s most likely environmental issues then and we did like 2 Cytopoint injections but I do not like giving that and also she gets vaccinations which I feel horrible about since investigating more and from what I hear in the groups I’m in. I just never really thought about it, since it’s coming from the vet but then again what do human doctors do to us? They want to push meds without getting to the real problem of our issues. I’m definitely going to go back to raw for at least my boxer for now, since she has the issues and maybe do 1/2 and 1/2 for my 12 year old. I just get overwhelmed because it’s not cheap and I guess I could try making it myself I just don’t want to miss anything and them not get all their needed nutrients.

Between that and eliminating lamb/changing to a more cooling diet, his allergies are under control and the yeasty smell is gone! I am not happy with the vet and I have been trying to find someone in ct.I have been at my wits end and the ones that are listed as holistic are not truly an ideal fit if they are still using the poison flea and tick meds and don't want to see him if he is raw fed? I don't get it ! You are holistic, but you are not using full holistic medicine? Vaccines? Why do they say that ? I would like to know why they are on the directory? Thanks, Dr. Judy for your wonderful work for the animals!❤️❤️

The Concentrated Damp Heat Skin by Jing Tang is what Matlock (GSD) has been on- it is amazing! Matlock is about 62ish lbs now. He and my 41 lb dog take the same dosage of ADP Oil of Oregano tablets. 1 tablet twice daily in the peak of allergy season. These crush very well after you split them. My mixed breed 41 lb dog isn’t the biggest fan of taking them whole, so they are crushed into her food. I 9⁹ to a vca and they told me my gsd had allergie. I said that I was concerned that he might have fleas .I left telling them the chewing makes me think he is getting bit but I couldn't find fleas. It was then they put a flea comb on his butt area once and they said no fleas! They didn't want to find what the allergies were just interested in given the cytopoint. Well guess what he didn't scratch for a month but it came back and it was fleas. I then had the house infested because of the vet not wanting to take a minute to look further! I have been fighting with the fleas on and off for a year . I'm struggling to get rid of them completely and not for lack of trying! I had to have an exterminator come! I have switched vets and cam you believe in the records they have not removed the allergies and it's just not right because of the records still state allergies I have been trying to get insurance and it's just not easy ! I can't believe they never thought of changing their misdiagnosed allergies for fleas!

I have it with my vet .I go to the vca In CT. I have pushed them to do whatever it takes for a diagnosis but it seems to aggravate them . I was told he has allergies but to what?i said I need to know! I have to have answers to why he is itchy and it frustrating to see him suffer constantly! I don't believe it got so bad he had flakes in the lower back and tail and the smell was overwhelming. They wont get to the bottom of it and I was at my wits end and allowed them to give him a cytopoint shot. I thought ok now that you gave him the shot can we get to the root cause? They said he was an allergic dog and I would have to accept that he would have to get this shot ever 6 to 8 weeks. I don't believe in bandaids and I walk out in tears left to research this myself. He's a gsd and he's raw fed. I've never seen a veterinarian who has no interest in diagnosing and I need help finding a place that has doctors like you. Please help 🙏

Would hepatic encephalopathy be a possible cause for the sort of idiopathic itching, as well? Serenity had 6 weeks of insanely high resp rates, leading to the clear assumption of some degree of brain damage, decrease of optimal function (at roughly 1 yr of age). She has 3 spots on her body, NO skin issues or coat disturbances, none ever, where, like with Gabby...if I touch her there, instant reflex foot movement to scratch, itch...

Does having an intact male dog cause skin allergies. Because my vet said if I have him neutered, he will have fewer allergies. Is this true? I have a 3 year old American Pitbull Terrier and don't want to alter him in any way unless it's absolutely necessary

@roninglx May last year 2023 O received my 5 1/2 month old Shih-Poo dog. Years ago I learned about problems with vaccines, human and dog vax, and problems with commercial dog food. I believed that if we did not intend to beed, we were expected to be "responsible," pet owners to spay and neuter. Just never thought why. The narrative we was to reduce the stray dog population. Then I saw several studies on the Western nations that don't do that and they had a miniscule number of stray dogs. Hmm? I had tried to schedule the procedure but no clinic had an opening for several weeks. And surprisingly during that time I learned the downside of spay and neutering (the loss of health benefits of those hormones) My dog is a healthy 15 months old, with all his body parts. When he misbehaves, I threatened to snip and he runs from the room.😀 We are always learning, and trying to make the best decision. I have learned that most decisions and actions are not urgent, and calm consideration is wise.

my 7 yr old pekingese Harry has been itching nonstop for almost a year now even during winter. We live in Maryland / near d.c. No rash that i can detect. He scratches all over. Bathing does not seem to help . we do not feed him dry food, i had been feeding him by product free canned food but switched to homemade/ lightly cooked turkey and raw and cooked non starchy veggies .... no starches except occasional oatmeal for the past 8 months with no improvement. During this transition time i noticed Harry's eyes would be very red, so i started him on daily eye drops and his eyes look much better. I am afraid to give him apoquel which the vet prescribed last Fall. My vet is not cooperative with alternatives and does not like that i won't use flea treatments This vet pushes vaccinations and will give 7 vacs in one visit . I know Harry must be allergic to fish b/c he throws it up. when he was younger he smelled bad but he does not have any odor now. My other pekingese is 11 yr old with a much flatter face/ more rounded head and he rarely scratches. A pekingese breeder told me apple cider rinses will help with skin ph. I am now giving Harry small amounts of fresh garlic so will see how that helps. i am so over all these vaccinations and wonder if Harry has an autoimmune problem. We rarely bathed our pekes but have started bathing them thinking there may be something we can wash off. sorry this is rambling. I have lost a lot of sleep and so has Harry over the past year.
