I want my environment to look like the background. I am struggling to clean and organize cuz my support is not listening and helping but instead upset and taking it out on me that I’m trying to work this out. Instead of accepting their feelings and getting over it and working on the goal I have or acknowledging that they don’t want to and to let me work with them that way. I can’t shower or get dressed to get things done let alone sleep to wake up to shower and get things done to be able to sleep easier or sooner so I can fix things slowly and let it go that my housemates aren’t helping me. It’s just hard to be left alone and accepted when they always make it emotional that you’re being emotional by talking about your stuff or their stuff when you bring up yourself so they don’t seem to see your stuff then and just feel emotionally overwhelmed to the point that they are blind to their actions enough to not listen to me out my stuff aside. Ask to be heard and then let me talk to them about their stuff in the ways I talk about it, or at least let me work on being humble and talking about it the way they want me to cuz I am just asking the same thing.

But what if you have struggled to survive for years already in therapy. Fled from DA, alone, like alone alone, fighting 2 men with solicitors which I cant ignore. Ive not had a break and im drowning. So I dont know what to do

That was brave to share, please be courageous and don’t keep those feelings to yourself find someone to express yourself to and display your raw feelings. Took me 36 years to learn that. Find peace through knowing you’re already perfect :) you’re ok! There are millions here just like you. Find just 1~ don’t do what I did, I ran from the person I was thinking I would be ok once I became this or had that or did what someone else expected. I was already worthy before the chase to become worthy

God knows what we need to hear & communicates it to us right on time. With me it’s usually music but sometimes a sermon or videos or books. If you listen, you will hear Him speaking to you the way He does for me

It's nice you have someone there willing to help you. I was right there going through them getting triggered over having my ex back in my life. I have PTSD from him. It's been months now and I hardly get triggered. I'm starting to separate the past from the now but I still see how this won't work. Hang in there. Keep working through your problems. One day you'll be out the other side and ready to tackle the world again. ❤

Best thing I learnt was when panic sets in, go to the freezer if you are somewhere with one and hold ice until it melts or until you calm down. You may go through multiple ice cubes but keep going, it will calm your body down

I just discovered you a few days ago and I’m thinking “girll, where were you all this time?!!!” Your tips and facts and the way you explain things are so helpful. Thank you so much. My anxiety has messed my stomach up, you have no idea. I’m having waves of nausea and constant trapped wind in my stomach and the doctors told me it’s anxiety that’s caused all of this.

Girl, I’ve been there! Trust me, start doing EFT tapping every morning and evening. Do the one for Gas, eat small and healthy filling protein packed meals, start meditating in the mornings even for 5 minutes, make a chart of positive affirmations and read them daily in the morning to set the tone for the day! Start a gratitude journal and BELIEVE YOU ME, you will start feeling better in No TIME! So sorry you have to go through all of this and feeling NAUSEATED SUCKS- I HATE IT! Always remember you won’t be like that forever and EFT WORKS WONDERS along side all of the others x Take care and sending you good vibes 😎

Thank You Lord for brining me to this page! Dr. Julie, God is using you mightily in my life. I am at a point where I am accepting the idea of therapy for myself. Tysm!!! I’ve been in therapy for years and there’s this belief that a therapist “fixes you” when they really just teach you how to manage your emotions and cope with the parts of yourself that you don’t like or understand. They’re also just really great to vent to and help you realize when you’re being manipulated. (Great for me bc I have an extra hard time telling bc my inability to read certain social cues due to my autism)

What does this apply really apply to? I’m a 13 year-old girl who’s been dealing with anxiety for a long time now, but it doesn’t just go away. I still feel anxious, I let it be there, but have not spoken one word to my peers at dance. I’ve been dancing since I was 8. Even with depression, you don’t feel lighter after a month of having it. I know what you mean and it makes total sense. I give people the his advice myself. But i don’t know why mine won’t cure. Maybe anxiety is one of the different ones. Thanks Dr. Julie.

But what if it has been 6 months and the emotion will not go away? And all you want is for it to be gone 🤷. I'm in a no-contact divorce right now from my husband of 8 years who was a narcissist. Therapy is not helping. How can I just become non-reactive and not think of it ever? Because that is how I want it to be.

This made me cry because it’s really helping me understand that life is gonna to change overtime and you have to allow your thoughts to process because then they will cause traffic and cause a heavy storm against you that’s going to make you feel extremely miserable.

I become very emotional when someone hurts me with words I can't control my tears and I hate to cry in front of everyone who never really cares .whenever someone make me feel disrespected or ignored I avoid them eventually. my mom doesent care if i cry iv been crying everyday and im 11 my whole family doesent care if i cry my 1st brother told me stop being so dramatic and my 2nd brother told me my face is so anoying when i cry and my parents dont care my dad just gets angery when i cry and my mum justs tells me to do work then comforts me and i hate people who cant understand my chest hurts so badly when ever i cry i question my religion but people just tell me im too young for my age do know and feel this i just want someone who understands.

I visited a many therapist and monks and I don't really agree with most therapist, they say it's mental illness and they get emotional acting petty when I correct them 😒

But I don't want the emotion to go away. I loved my cat and she deserves all the grief I have. I just don't want it to hurt so bad. I want to be able to sleep again without crying because I can't stop thinking of her. In the day there are distractions, but at night I'm alone with my thoughts and they hurt so bad. All I want is to see her one last time.

This is why meditation is soooo important and helpful.... because you are very aware of your thoughts and emotions. Definitely learn how to control your emotions

On the very last day of school last year that evening something struck me, something so hard that it stuck with me for a month. But then I kinda let it sit there next me and forgot about I still think about it time to time but not like the first days where it ruined my life

There are 2 types of people watching this video: The ones who watched the water change color and have no clue what she said and had to watch twice And the ones who were listening and only noticed the water change at the end and had to watch twice

Or the ones who realised the analogy was disappointingly crap and pointless and didn’t offer a true resolution and that realistically that ink would never just totally disappear from the water so the analogy and physical play out of it - was a failure. Which is sad as I’ve just subscribed recently and REALLY love her and REALLY look forward to watching her and learning from her
