hey doc, I wanna ask what's right when drinking warm water, hot water or chilled water in morning? there are many dieticians and articles as well which say chilled water in morning helps in burning calories as body tries to regulate the temperature of water taken it burns energy and hence lose calories.

That does not mean though it can't be helped in self cleaning... I mean most of "detox" or "cleanses" are in fact useless or even dangerous, but "body can clean itself" isn't the sole reason they are useless. I feel it creates a picture that you shouldn't worry about your body damage removal at all... While for example liver can be badly damaged if it is overused with crappy diet. Hydration, fiber and in some cases medication helps a lot.

Yes! If you treat your liver and kidneys good, and don’t have a genetic predisposition to them being dysfunctional, then they can do their job quite well by themselves! No alcohol, no smoking, no sitting around people that smoke, and eating a healthy, well-balanced diet!

I remember the lady that became quadrapalegic after doing a cleanse with a liter of soy sauce. The source even told her not drink extra water when she feels pain in her stomach. TW: Eating Disorders Salt water flushing was huge among online eating disorder communities like 15yrs ago, as a way to "drop pounds super fast" by "getting rid of water weight". One girl was super hyped cuz she was down 6 pounds within a couple of days, then she went silent. The next thing we saw from her account was a post from her sister, telling us she was in hospital and had nearly died. For someone whose body is already super compromised like that, it was an even worse idea than it would be for a healthy person. But, of course, people in that community kept doing salt water flushes anyway, cuz eating disorders just make people that desperate to make our brains stop torturing us. Please, PLEASE don't try this ridiculous, dangerous trend.

@TubnRN I could see hyponatremia if she had drunk that much distilled water, since it would draw salt out from your body, but wouldn't such excess salt consumption lead to a rise in sate levels in the blood despite some salt being excreted through urine, etc? Otherwise, that would mean drinking salt water and drinking distilled water both lead to hyponatremia

I don't even watch such idiotic videos, they're far too frequently not only not right, they're not even wrong. I remember one that was debunked by an airline pilot, where the "influencer" told the audience to run in random directions away from a burning aircraft. A 16 year old girl did just that, ran into the smoke and had her head run over by a responding firetruck, killing her instantly. The only casualty of the incident, which was an engine fire. The aircraft got a new engine and was returned to service, the girl wasn't as fortunate.

@yoeyyoey8937
@yoeyyoey8937 Жыл бұрын
@@waroftheworlds2008 sodium is always in solution. In solid form you cannot absorb it. Salt is sodium chloride and when it’s dissolved in water or food, or in your mouth or stomach, it becomes sodium(+) and chloride(-) ions which are then absorbed by the body And that’s the daily RDA but I don’t think the RDA for sodium is right…I actually got heat stroke following the RDA on accident (I wasn’t eating too much salty food at the time) due to low sodium, so now I take a tsp of salt with water on top of what I normally eat when it’s hot. And I make sure to eat more salty food now after that experience. If you’re sedentary and at risk for sodium related issues then it’s probably a good idea to keep it low sodium but I’m not personally convinced it’s right for everyone or most people.

How to actually clean out your intestines: Stay hydrated. NOT with salt water as that's not hydrating lol Make sure you eat enough fiber. A good balance of soluble and insoluble fiber will bulk up the stool and help it stay together. If you're used to eating very little fiber, increase it slowly to reduce the risk of gas and cramping Bonus: Incorporate probiotic sources into your diet. Not necessarily a supplement, fermented foods such as (but not limited to) yogurt and sauerkraut are a good source If you're generally healthy this is all you need for a "clean gut"! If you have digestive health issues or anything like that, work out a solution with your doctor one on one, don't listen to random people online for how to solve it.
