This is just an excellent conversation. I learnt a lot. I always knew that the truth about reservation was very different from the narratives about it. Dr. Yadav is an ocean of knowledge and represents India's best, yet he cannot even get a fair shake. I renounced religion a long time ago but continued to call myself a “cultural” Hindu. But people like Dr. Yadav have exposed the so-called culture for what it is: a system built upon discrimination enforced by violence blessed by the current regime that coopted it. So, I no longer associate myself with Hinduism nor call myself a cultural Hindu. Thank you for such an enlightening conversation.

Those who are privileged also, they also take reservation, & the poor SC STs donot get that much benifit. The constitution of India has already banned caste based discrimination and declared it as crime in 1950. Only caste based reservation system is keeping caste system alive. SC, ST & OBCs have more legal rights than the unreserved people. I advise SC OBC ST people to not have Inferiority complex in their minds. If any discrimination happens, file FIR. During the period of independence, it was the need of the hour but many things changed these days. Reservation is only destroying meritorious people nowadays. Judicial or Legislative review of Caste based reservation is the need of the hour. In the present day scenario, only EWS reservation should be given irrespective of caste/creed/religion. And caste based reservation should be banned except for the STs.

If standing up for rights and refusing to be placated makes us unsatisfied, then we wear that label with pride. Reservation has literally finished IITs. They have 70% quota. Rajiv Gandhi was the last sane prime minister who understood meritocracy. SC and ST fully deserve reservation, but the problem is new categories like EWS, OBC and Woman. Almost all our great heroes and rulers were OBC. It is divide and rule to have OBC reservation on lines of British.

Only concern of the so called Ambedkarvaadis aka quotavaadis is Aarakshan and Sangrakshan. When will you rise above it? Why can't you say, we don't want quota and alms.
