These are so helpful. I got a grade 3 SL tear in my wrist and I've been waiting 2.5 years for surgery bc of the pandemic. These aren't too hard and I can pull pack if it's getting sore but it still gives me a good stretch and gets some blood flowing and loosens me up reducing my pain. I like to play games but I also work an administrative job 8 hrs a day on the computer too. These are really perfect for me. I hope I can get surgery soon and get back close to normal when I was gaming and playing basketball and other sports.

Thank you Dr Levi! I've actually wondered about hand health being a gamer and I followed along with the exercises as you explained and I could feel a little pain in my right hand that I didn't in my left but felt good to stretch them properly like that. I've seen hand exercises but most I don't think are aimed towards gamers (most require use of a stress ball) so I am very grateful to you for this. Please keep these coming!

Hello, I play osu mania and a while before I started I got an injury in my left pinkie that required a steroid injection, because of that I decided I need to take my hand health seriously and I greatly appreciate your guides, they're extremely user friendly and I really appreciate what you are doing! I really appreciate how calm, patient, and concise your commentary is, it is extremely helpful to have a clear slow guide to follow, because I easily get overwhelmed.

@@dazuru6407 The stretches have helped me relieve some pain in my forearms and allowed me to game again on PC. Another thing that helped a lot was learning about TMS. It basically means I've been fooling myself into experiencing the pain. I know it sounds crazy, cause that's what I thought at first, but it has helped me the most. I've been doing long gaming sessions again that I could only dream of before. Best of luck!

Hi, I've been using a vertical mouse for over a year now ever since I originally felt pain in my wrist. I've been pain free for awhile now, but have started experiencing some pain again. This is quite a heavy mouse(100g), do you think it would be beneficial at all for me to alternate between horizontal and vertical mice? Maybe one month vertical one month horizontal etc? I just started doing these exercises.

yes, not smart to do it on a wall, extremely lethal i almost died after only 3.89 seconds of the stretch, after that i became obese in the following 62 and a half seconds and was diagnosed with stage 5 terminal cancer and my cranial nerves exploded all over my desk, not recommended to do this on a wall, beware.

Madelene Isaksson honestly I couldn't imagine why it would be all that different, you should be using a lot of the same muscles. I'd say this, and maybe some elbow extensor exercises, could be a lot of help to a pianist.

Being a Zombie gamer, playing for hours upon hours with no break(no pause button in public matches) and constantly pushing down on the left thumbstick to sprint, has made me go from no problems at all to really tight elbows, wrists and thumbs/hands. I'm constantly trying to find ways to get a stretch in that relieves these tight muscles, but this video was exactly what I needed. I feel like I stretched muscles in my wrist/elbows that have needed to be stretched for many months. Keep it up doc, you help more people than you realize. I appreciate it.

Leaving this here for anyone looking for an easy way to do this as a routine or wants to leave a note for themselves Note: If you feel tons of pain it is important to just stop for a moment. Wrist stretching. ( Make sure you are doing this on a hard surface ) - Get high enough to make sure your arm is pointing straight down, and put the back of your hands on your desk facing each other. (30 Secs) - Slightly hold down on your desk with the back your hands. - Bring your fingers in, and make a fist if you can. (30 Secs) - Bring your hands forward and back. (10 Reps) -Put your hands facing you. (30 Secs) -Bring your fingers up, making a fist. Make sure you are putting pressure on your wrist. (30 Secs) -Now, put your palm on the desk and put your hands facing sideways. (30 Secs) -Put your hands facing you. (30 Secs) -Hands forward, but lean your body forwards. (30 Secs) -At the bottom of your palm, make sure you are pushing it against the desk with your fingers in the air. (30 Secs) -Next, hold your arm straight out and put your fingers out and next to each other. (30 Secs) -Table-top up and down. (10 Reps)
