I wanted to shed some light on this match: All of the competitors were excellent, and PanBan was no joke. My strategy going into this match was to combo hard and play the long game to try and outlast, and catch up from behind. When it was 1-2, I had to rethink my strategy being behind the ropes, and I knew what I was currently doing was not working with PanBan's game. The only way to beat him was to go hybrid between Speedrunning and combo (with more of a focus on Speedrunning), which is different than how I normally played this entire weekend. It was a Hail Mary, but the only way to beat PanBan was to change my playstyle. GGs PanBan, excellent games from you!

I have no idea this game is so deep. Much deeper than it looks, and I'm amazed that it has a few playing styles. just wow. People that you defeated before final are very good enough. I'm very sure they will top up me in under 30 seconds. And now you beat the 'final boss', wow. You'r absolutely the god of dr. mario

Panban and Swong have both been crushing everyone (definitely including me) in the online leagues all year, so getting to see this live as the Grand Final was an absolute highlight of the year. GGs and Congrats to both of you! Either of you would be a deserving champion. It's a shame we only get to have one.

I hope you guys can save up a budget to upgrade those trophies soon. I know the winner one has a round top but both trophies should look more like the pills. Maybe someone can CNC or lasercut woodworks, plexiglass, or something like that. Maybe the winner's pill is vertical and the runner-up's is horizontal. Or engraving on glass jars that resemble the bottle in the game, and maybe fill them with pill capsules or squeeze in a stethoscope lol. And/or perhaps, the winner can get an embroidered gold doctor coat or something like that, or maybe that could be for the hall of fame. Tetris has great and meaningful looking trophies and would love for this competition to be represented well as well.
