Huh? Chelsea played a defensive game ONCE! In the away game to Barcelona. Then attacked when they were home. It was a sound strategy. They didnt let barca score in barca's home ground. That was mission accomplished. If the ref wasnt corrupt, they would have succeeded with their plan, by winning when they were at home. The perfect strategy against a good team.

while they were cases of drogba diving all over the place there were two shouts for a penalty which were correct. not the one at the end that ballack got mad over though. but none the less the referee made two wrong decisions and that should be looked into. best thing for drogba to do was just go change instead of losing the plot.

The problem is that referees know that Drogba spends a lot of time on his backside trying to cheat free kicks out of the opposition. Penalties are given too easily nowadays. Penalties used to be given for intentional foul play in the area. These days, you can fire a ball at point blank range at 100 mph, hit a player on the arm when they have no chance of avoiding it, and expect to get a penalty. Drogba should get a 6 month ban for his hysterical foul mouth rant.

Even though I agree Chelsea did play that game better than Barcelona, I think it is fair Barsa won the Champions League, they are without a doubt the best football club at the moment. I'm not a Barsa fan, I like and admire that club but I'm not a follower. The final match should've been Barcelona vs Chelsea. And Avidal's red card was totally a mistake too, so if Chelsea seemed to be clearer when attacking that might have been the reason.

There was ALOT of bad referee judging in this game, on both sides... I find it hard to say that chelsea were supposed to win. Many of the penalty claims were nothing at all; Drogba fell like a bambi on ice sometimes, and thats nothing. Maybe the hands of Pique were something, but not Etoo's hands, he just turned in a natural position, and the ball hit his arm or whatever...
