Cherry Red Huh..That early Dinosaur LP is way cool. Oh yeah.. Reunion, forgot about that. "Green Mind" rules.. only have it on CD. Oh yeah.. "Bug" super duper great !! Thanks for watching, commenting and sharing your list! Much appreciated. At the end of the day, as I have said here in a response to many others, there is no crap album. It’s fun and interesting to see how different everyone’s lists are. I.e., you have The Beyond at the bottom. I had it ranked pretty high in my list. I love that one. Maybe helps it too that I saw them live on that reunion tour and they kicked ass. They always do though haha! Cheers

Great to see some love for the debut, some killer tracks on it! I listened to a bit of Farm and liked what i heard. Became obsessed with these guys about a month and a half ago. Kind of put of by their 90s output because i love Lou Barlow so much. But I will give them a listen Great video man!

Thanks Paul for watching and commenting! And for subscribing🤝 Lou Barlow’s Sebadoh is cool as is his solo stuff, really digging that. I don’t think Dino Jr has put out a bad album. It was tough putting this together but as a whole album, I could pretty easily decide that Farm is my personal least favorite. Still many good songs in it! Always liked the debut album. Great video! Not sure if I would agree that Farm and Give a Glimpse would be the least, I guess that "See You" from Farm and "Be A Part" from Give are two of my favorite songs by them (which already qualifies it to be among my favorite songs of all times) - it always puts my mood right on spot. Anyways, my Top3 is the same as yours. Poledo is the most WTF and enjoyable song they ever recorded in my opinion. Cheers, Mika!

Thank you Alex! Those are great songs indeed you mentioned. Truthfully none of these albums are bad. But to me when Farm came out I just thought it was nowhere near as good as Beyond and so I kinda lost interest to that record for some years. Later on it has grown more onto me. I just think it is their weakest album as a whole. Check the song Whatevers Cool With Me if you haven’t heard. Some double bass drumming on that one 😀 which is something that you wouldn’t expect from Dino! Cheers and thanks for watching

Thanks for watching and commenting! :) Really appreciate it. It's always fun and interesting to see how other people would rank the records so thanks for sharing your list. Ranking Dino Jr albums is a tough task to do. Well the top 3 was relatively easy for me but the rest was harder. I always look at the albums Without A Sound, Where You Been and Hand It Over as some sort of a trilogy set :) They're done pretty quickly one after the other and therefore sound quite similar. This was the time when Dino Jr really was a one-man band, to some extent (Mike Johnson did play bass I think on most of them but there were quite a few other visiting guest artists too). I don't know...I love Where You Been but as a whole it does not match against Hand It Over or Without A Sound, in my humble opinion of course. Out There - song is one of my all time favorite Dino Jr songs but the album is not as consistent like the other two aforementioned albums. I almost put Hand It Over even over Without A Sound...! And I see you rank that one last but like said earlier it's fun to see how others rankings look like. Alone and Sure Not Over you are my favorite songs on Hand It Over. I also like Sweep It Into Space quite a lot. Maybe that would get higher in my list if, let's say more time had passed and it would have gotten even more play time but I didn't want to wait anymore in making this :) Farm is a good record, couple of excellent songs but otherwise compared to their other albums, it's not that great. Again, in my humble opinion only. Surprised to see how many is not ranking their debut higher. Many of my friends also think it's not a great record but I have always liked it very much. Granted on that one they are still searching for their sound. Thanks again for watching! Cheers - Mika

@@DrOktober I think peoples list also have a lot to do with at what point people got into a band and nostalgia around that album and memory of that period live. For me "Where your been" was where i got into them and then I worked my way backwards, i was a bit disappointed when "without a sound came out" and then never really got into "Hand it over" as was more into other bands then fell back in love with Dino in the reform years. It's weird with the ST album, Without a sound and Hand it over, they either seem to be albums people rank high or very low, but rarely in between. Most people agree on YLAOM though as number one :D J also ranks Hand it over very high www.vice.com/en/article/3bdx8k/rank-your-records-dinosaur-jr-j-mascis But This list is very close to mine :D glidemagazine.com/168277/worst-best-albums-ranking-ages-dinosaur-jr-list/

@DrOktober3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! I don't own Hand It Over original pressing so can't give my thoughts on that. However, Green Mind and Without A Sound are great sounding reissues in my opinion. Not very much difference between them and the originals to be honest. The reissues perhaps a little bit louder but not too loud to give distortion or other issues. The original pressings were already superb sounding but I think the reissues are definitely worth picking up if you're considering it. For a casual fan maybe not worth the price... I enjoy the bonus songs on them since there are many single b-side songs. Cheers to you man!
