My Great Grandmother was Vina Chattin , there is a school named after her. My Grandmother was Ratty Douglas, librarian till she retired. Still have family living there. I’m truly blessed to be Blackfoot.

Wow, that's great for me !!! One of my best memories of the States in USA. Early in the morning I have done a very interesting talk with an Blackfeet at breakfast time. He told me about his time as soldier in Vietnam-War. We both had tears in our eyes. Very great the big Pow- Wow in Browning, My god, what a time 👍🇺🇸 Best regards, Norbert

I've just been Blessed with a connection to my granddaughter and she & Billy have an 8 year old son.. Billy is from Browning and Jaydison, my great-grandson and I are gonna be hitting it off wonderfully...I've waited decades for this time and really want to find out more about the other side of the family also living in Browning. This was my first stop. Thanks for introducing me to my now "extended family" in Montana.

For me the beauty of snow trumps the temperatures. I have always found it easy to keep warm and difficult to stay cool enough in many climates. Glacier is beautiful and I bet you enjoyed it. Happy you found my world travel channel 😎

what's your opinion of the land buy back going on, esp. with blackfeet on the rez? i'm referring to the big cobell land consolidation settlement from 2011 or so....

This was not something I have been apprised of prior to your question. From what I read this evening I would say it is good to be able to sell the land if that is what is needed; however, I would question the sanctity of the rez after many sell. Meaning; would a rez have private owners living in the middle of it going forward or parks etc. This needs to be considered especially for the Sioux in South Dakota. They were able to stop travelers from passing through their Cheyenne River Reservation citing Covid-19 concerns with one of their districts having large infections. Now, could this be done if part of their rez was owned by the state or private people? These discussions need to be had by tribal leaders and those wanting to sell land. Blackfeet also live their along with others I have met in past trips. What sounds good today could dissolve a way of live or it could stimulate a new economy that is needed in many areas I travel through.
