Unless AI is gathering its data from some higher power that we're not seeing, this is not likely. As can be seen in examples where people try to fool these chatbots into getting simple math equations wrong, because it is only scouring the data we ALREADY have all over the internet (some being complete nonsense), it is not creating anything new out of thin air. The FAA already has a commercial/recreational drone registration program, it costs $5 to register, and you have to put reg numbers and an Remote ID on drones of certain size. I fly a DJI Mavic Mini 2 that is exempt from these restrictions because it is under 250 grams and is about the size of a couple decks of cards.

Martial law is the only thing that makes sense to me. If you start seeing a rise in military movement throughout the states, it's not a response to the drones, it's the reason the drones are up. It's also possible that the iranian mothership is a real thing and these may be flying chemical weapons, which is why they won't shoot them down. They're everywhere right now and there's really no way to combat them without releasing the chemical agent, possibly highly explosive materials as well.
