Good fun, I'm waiting on my gannet drone to arrive before Xmas. I know a guy who drones fishes and he uses a small bag of burley in a pva mesh bag, I think it was chook pellets and some tuna oil, I reckon if you sneak one just below the sinkers it could be a good idea. My mavic 3 cine had software glitch, plummeted into ocean, line broke, 5k drone gone, DJI is not taking responsibility, blaming pilot error, they stated "its not allowed to carry any weight with it" i carried less than 100 grams of weight, some how drone thought i was on land and black box data showed it forced landing, but it didnt show on my rc controller any forced landing, it just changed its flight into vertical trajectory and spirallled down

I typically leave it out for 15 - 20mins if in areas not common for sharks and then let the bites guide me

I tried this with my drone after lock down when we weren't allowed to boat fish, I didn't have a proper release system for my drone and lost it in the water on the first set... Got 1 nice Gurnard though! Haha
