A friend and I passed by there in the 70s. Our weekly walk, usually planned for 25 miles and two pubs, had been extended to include a third pub in Grassington. It was while enjoying an early evening pint or two in Grassington, and pulling out the map for the second part of the walk, that we realised there had been a misunderstanding of scale. This meant the 'walk' to Ilkey for a drink and the last train back to Leeds was more of a jog. But we did get that all-important final pint. Grand scenery.

That's why I always packed a bivi/groundsheet with me - camp up for the night ;)

Eyup, for many years this has been my favourite summer's day go too place, a drink at the Red lion and a walk on the river, beautiful 🌄 that farmer's had a few quid out of me to park in his field 😉

Stunning scenery Mike, just so beautiful, loved the reflections in the river as you flew over, everything just looked so chocolate box, no wonder you chose these locations to fly... A great smooth flight, and beautiful to watch...

It's a nice place to fly - but a ruddy long walk if your drone goes down ;)
