I lived in Mackenbach on 11 Gartenstrasse in apt 3a or 3b, a 3 bedroom apartment with a small balcony and the greatest German landlord in the world, Herr Kurt Beck, who later moved to Miesenbach for some reason; best two years of my military brat life. Thank you for showing me the new town. My old apartment building did not change, except that the street is paved; in my day it was red clay!

Ah, my German home away from home. We all miss it dearly. We lived at Sandäcker 15 from 2008-2013. We were extremely sad to leave….

I lived in Mackenbach from 1987 to 1991. I was just a little kid, but I still have good memories from it.

I found the house I lived in, 1970-72. 2 Waldstrasse. Many changes in 50 years!

@@ryankeithpayne At that time there was nothing but empty fields on the north, south or west of the house. Waldstrasse, which ran north/south was the last street on the west end of town. The house behind the main house was being built when we left in '72. Our family returned in 1993 and stayed with our former landlady at the house in the rear.

TRUE COLORS I lived in Machenbach 1982 to 84 at 14 Markt Strasse,Served proudly the United States Air Force, during the Cold War. Turn is footage trying to fine the main street running through town from Rammstein airbase the main street is called Haupstrasse... Would like to talk to someone more about Machenbach,Felt welcomed and appreciated by the German community thank you

I lived in Mackenbach for a few months back in 1977. You can see the yellow house we lived in on the corner of Frieherr vom Stein Straße at 6:00. I have many good memories.
