Used to live at The Bridge Stores in the 1970’s. The river used to be dredged annually back then. Our cafe, house and general stores fortunately were never flooded. Subsequently the former listed Riverside House was demolished and rebuilt on top of the embankment. Many good memories when Holt Fleet was a thriving area for locals and tourists alike. Happy days.

Trevor James the wharf is under new management now and is being done up. They have had to put the opening date back due to the floods. But will be an even better place to visit when it opens

My old stomping ground, Had many happy time around Holt and Ombersley, sad to see this" but the wharf is unable to escape even the slightest river flood as she is perched on the very edge of the severn,,.
