This isnt feasible or sustainable in its current state to take the place of a ground rig let alone aerial application. Love drones and they are the future, but even with a fleet of these how can you cover 10-20k acres a year? lt will get there but this isnt it. Not just yet. A low rate of 20 gal/acre vs tank size, think about thoudands of acres... then the staging, mixing, loading, cleanouts, breakdowns, tech issues, coordination, field prepping, and dealing with unexpected circumstances. Its a novelty as of now, that would cost precious time and money that niether farmers or applicators are willing or capable of sacrificing.

There are some differences between agriculture in Europe and America - for example, fields here are much more segmented, while in the U.S., they are often large and continuous. Here, with one modern drone, a skilled pilot, ideal weather, and a reliable mixing system (like our DroneFiller, as seen in the video 😊), you can cover around 100 hectares (~247 acres) daily. Drones also have unique advantages: no heavy machinery trampling plants, and the ability to fertilize right after rain. While European lawmakers are still stuck in the past with outdated regulations, more and more farmers and contractors are using drones because, in many cases, they outperform traditional methods. That said, sprayer drones still have a long way to go. They’ll never fully replace conventional methods, but the technology has already proven its value!
