It's admirable how much love you put into this game and your channel. I've loved the game since day one and was a little disappointed when it lost popularity after a few months. But with the updates and the new civilizations it has more potential again and you too are doing your part in this potential. Thank you for your great work

Very nice gameplay but I couldn’t help but notice that you seem to think that your aqueducts need to be connected to one another in a continuous line in order to increase your cistern bonus when in actuality you only need your aqueducts to connect to the cisterns (and you can even use stone walls as a part of your aqueduct network).

I must said, I tried to watch the commented game and couldn't go into it. But this video, I watched it entirely without seeing the time. It was inspiring and frightening to see you play. The efficiency in the resource management, micro, the action by minute. I realize that I didn't know about some keyboard shortcut or some way to manage control group. In a way I have motivation to improve and train on that (and to try your start build with Byzantine). In the other I remember the emergency tier list of BeastyqtSC2 when he said that Byzantine couldn't be use efficiently outside of middle Diamond and higher. I never reached better than low Platinium and that was with the Frank during the first months of the game. A part of me wonder if I just shouldn't be humble and go with Order of the Dragon, Joan of Arc or Japanese. In the other hand, I don't want to just climb because of an easy civ, take a lot of bad habit, than hit a break wall because the civ can't carry me any longer and I didn't improve.

There are easier methods than this though? Build order Cistern with most rss coverage Mine 7-8 on food 4 on sheep more on berry with mill 3-4 gold Hippodrome 3 horsemen -> raid with upgrade Mo6 vills wood Make barrack or archy on situation Arsenal -> ram Ilmenti -> upgrade to elite (Mercenary) Cataphatact spam With either cistern wonder Or streltsy spam with Mercenary wonder Be flexible rathern than having a generalized playstyle and byzantine is good , since its basically all factions combind
@VyBnSaturn Жыл бұрын
I'im having a bit of trouble with the build path you do. I get to wheelbarrow at 1:05, but building 6 vills to sheep puts my food too low to reach hippodrome at 3:10. I'm off by like 30 seconds. Is it just my micro that I need to improve to shave that time off?

How do we change or remove the numbers from the top of the units and buildings? I never found how we do that, and i messed up a lot with 1,2 or 3,4 etc. Also how we select the numbers 2,2 or 4,2 and the rest?

Yo drongo i have a question, altho i know u probably wont see my comment but il try anyway xd So i have a huge problem with micro i always forget to make more villagers and i age up with less then 15 or 20 i always forget to get the production research of the food wood etc always always i am playing half a year and i still cant micro. Barley the min of microing i cant get it down how can i practice? Just trying to micro over and over untill il get the hang of it or is there any tricks for improving? I am dying to play byz but with the level i am on its just not working for me, too many things to manage
@cptr3db34rd3 Жыл бұрын
Mmm sometimes I struggle with this (stuff like upgrades) myself. For villagers I would say that two main things come to mind are: 1. Place the town center (or all town centers if you happen to have more) on a control group. This way it becomes much easier to just select a town center to even see if you forgot to produce villagers 2. Keep a decent amount of villagers in queue unless you need those resources to age up. Only keeping one or two might be optimal resource-wise but doing so seems just a waste of APM to me Once you do these things you should "train yourself" to constantly go back to town center after everything you do. You build a few barracks? Let's go back to town center and spam a few vills. You got a relic to bring back to base? Let's spam a few more vills. After all it's just pressing 2 buttons. Select TC from control group and press Q a few times. Then again, in more stressful situations I think it's quite normal to be focused on something else and to forget about training villagers. Oftentimes this happens later on though. The only thing that might help with upgrades is to set yourself a goal. Beforehand, (if possible of course) try to define a moment in the game where you get the most important upgrades. If you know that immediately after you get to age 2 you want to research wheelbarrow (and you see that you generally have the resources to do so), it should be easier to remember to do so. An alternative way might be to look at the time. If you know you might want a certain upgrade by minute 6-7, around that time it might be easier to remember. "Oh, look we're 7 minutes in. I should research XY then!". Then again, these things can work only up to a certain point, and probably only for a limited number of upgrades to begin with. That's what comes to mind anyways, good luck ;)

Earing Drongo spoke about Age of Empire III make me wonder if I should try the game. I did long ago but wasn't convinced. But that was before I become somehow correct in RTS by playing Starcraft. Can some people tell me how is the game today? Does the solo is good compared to Age of Mytholygie and Starcraft II? How is the multi scene? I assume most of the multi players had moved to AoE IV.
@arthipex8512 Жыл бұрын
The campaigns are really nicely done in my opinion. They are shorter than AOM's and Starcraft 2's (especially with the DLCs, but I liked them nevertheless. The multiplayer is quite active with active players, streamers, tournaments and changing metas. The recend DLC again added a lot to the diversity of the game with 16 civs compared to the previous 10. They all feel and play very unique from one another and I think the game has never been in a better state. If you have played a lot of AOM you will be very comfortable with the pace and feeling of the game.
