I still hate KV-5 when it first got released in WoT. I have such a huge hatred towards this tank that I dont plan to pick it up at all. At those times it was so bad that I would chose tiger p over kv-5 in any game whatsoever.

the SMV is fun, but if the enemies have TD's that have HEAT, they will turn your armor into butter (except the SMV). Fun fact : the SU-100M1 turn the SMV armor into butter too lmao

If you have reasonably good pen just go for the hatch on top of the tank

@@laddu-jillu3583 I stand for the statement of this tank being one of the most armored tank tier for tier, and yes it is very difficult to pen the hatch. This only applies to long ranges and bad accuracy guns. Honestly if you are are for ex. fighting against the KV-5 in close combat, and you have an IS, you can load premium to insure the pen, but you can still pen it with regular, but it takes some skill. And I have to say, it is damn hard to fight against this tank, especially if the enemy knows his shit 😉

I bought my kv5 the second time it got sold and it's one of my most played tanks in my close to 10 years of playing. Super underrated and fun, it wins way more than it should.

5:20 droodles you are right, wg can and does mod the ammorack values. The newer beginner battles (the first 4 battles) will give you an INSANE amount of racks (1-2 per game)

You can lower the chance of being ammo racked by taking less shells in game with you. Take what you need, not what you can carry. Just a little info for those who may not know

The event is driving what you are all seeing. Happens every event when it is damage driven. I remember that when the is3 defender was based on damage. That was the first event of this kind.

THE MODULE DAMAGE ON THIS TANK IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE! Every shot on the engine on a German tank is a 100% fire and if aimed right can ammorack quite often! The smv's module damage is not talked about enough

In world of tanks pc the modules have their own hp pool, if the damage taken (module damage depends on shell caliber) surpasses the hp pool of that module it will go red, but ammo racks dont go red they just explode. I think its the same in blitz, its not a luck thingy, if you know where ammo racks are and can hit reliably it can be done deliberately.

yeah knowing where the modules are located is quite useful. but not every hit does damage to a module. there is always a chance whether damage is dealt to a module when hit or not and the amount of damage is as you said depending on the caliber

​@@sebastianschmidt7268True its weird how it works, normally you would assume that if you aimed right it would damage the module. Apparently there is a 27% chance of ammo rack damage when its hit, so actually luck does take matter. running defence system reduces 7%.

I played in my smv a couple of times recently and I noticed that I ammoracked people a lot of times these days. Maybe wg changed something but it was quite a strange feeling. I do not expect that tank to ammorack opponents so easily.

KV-5 is good, but i do have KV-4 earlier before i sold it and bought ST-I And KV-4 is so unpredictable, especially i hate the fact that the latest turret have that big cupola with side gun on it, and attached to the main turret. THAT is the main problem, especially when i'm taking cover behind a destroyed tank and try to get a gap shot between it, and the enemy somehow always managed to put damage on my cupola. Like, c'mon Wargaming, KV-4 armor are crazy especially when you side scraping, but why do the cupola have to be the main problem -__- Even like a P44 Pantera can send a hot knife through a butter

The SVC gets more ammo racks than any other tank I play. I think WG messed up the chance of ammo racks for this tank. It’s been this way since it came out.

Kv5 is pure stalinium. This tank love to random bounce shells shoted in both front and back lmao. Sometimes i bounced aimed shots with T9 with 250+ penetration hahaha

Smv gets more ammo rack for some reason Enemy smv was one shot and I was vk100(remember that vk doesn't get ammo racked much) Then he ammo racks me I think there's a hidden value of ammo rack . .for example t49A used to ammo rack 1/3 shells it fired.

The obj.252u bundle i got it for 5500 gold which is a steal wg usually sell tier 8 for 8500 or 7500. Gun is not bad I think my soviet rng is op wierd cuz i shot HE at amx 100 50 side that should be a miss but some it nocilp or just curve like how football player kicks. Overall is kinda boring but it good 8/10

I don't want to takw away from Droodles as an excellent player. But something's just not right watching his. If I do with any tank, what he does witht he KV-5 I will be spotted and shot by 5 different enemies in 10 seconds. I cannot put it past WG to ...I don't even know, manipulate these matches. I'm not Droodles as a player, but I'm far from bad and usually if I get a decent team I can pull out a win. But that's where the HUGE difference I see with Droodles matches. And honestly I think WG is a wormy enough company to do a lot more manipulation than they publicize.
