Love what youve done by adding the pick guard. I really LOVE the specs of this guitar and really wish Ibanez had done a Dino Cazares Signature with these same specs in the early 2000's when FF was at their peak instead of waiting too late and going with the RGD DCM100 many years later. Id been dreaming a 27" scale reverse headstock 7string since Obsolete was released. I bought one one of Wood finish RGIXL's online about 5 years ago when they dropped and sold it pretty much right away. It played really well but was just ugly as all hell when it arrived but these matte black ones look fantastic, if only a tad too bland in look fully matte blacked out so that gloss pick guard works a treat. Well done and great track !

Thanks man 🙏 I love obsolete, what an amazing album. I always wanted to have a 7 string inverted headstock. What do you think about ormsby guitars?

@narvaezcm I haven't seen one in the flesh yet but was considering ordering one of Camo Dino models with the Fan frets although I'm wondering if I just have enough guitars, especially now that my band playing days are behind me. I recently bought a Prs Mark Holcomb 7 string which I'm absolutely in love with so maybe the Dino can wait.. What else have you got ?

I been trying to simplify as much as possible, got rid of other guitars to have just what I need for my songs so I can focus more on being creative instead of having more guitars 😅 did the same with my desk setup now I just have a laptop and a QC.

It depends on the guitar scale but from 26.5 and 27 you can go for 74 on the low E 🫡 (based on my experience)

I have this guitar and it's one of my faves. Are you pitch shifting down to E1 or are you tuned down to it and if so what gauges are you using? I have my tuned to drop g# but wasn't sure if it could handle down to E1. Sick riffage btw.

Thanks man, it goes to D or D# with evertune and 74 to 80 on the low string.

@@narvaezcm that's good to know man. Really appreciate the reply. I was thinking of putting m7s in mine but was not sure if the pickup cavity needed to be modifed any to fit those pickups. Did you have to do anything special after removing the stock fusion edge dimarzios. They are kind of just meh and always wanted to upgrade.

@@Justin-bm7zn you have to ask them to send you the pickups with “triangular ears” that way is going to fit perfectly. I sent them an email after placing the order.

Please share the preset. I have the same guitar. I really want to bring the same sound to the cortex, but it doesn’t work((

I don't remember exactly the preset for that, but to make it sound sharper try to get those impulse response from Bogren Digital > "RHYTHM IR: DOWNTUNED" they really make the difference 🫡
