When you are putting in the bald guideline with the trimmers like that at 0:25 how do you avoid creating a hardline? The thing I think I could use help on is creating a more symmetrical edge up

As far as the hard line goes. You may want to try lightly making the guideline. Also you can use a trimmer that’s not zero gapped to make that line also. That way it’s easier to remove. A symmetrical edge up approach would be using reference points like I showed when I made the two guideline for the fade.
