Dont waste your money on modulars, they never get set right, since they are multiple boxes they settle at different rates so there tends to be cracking, shifting, doors bind ect. They only end up lasting not even half as long as a standard built house.

I know people that work for Canada post. I hate the thoughts of anyone loosing their job. A new model needs to happen though. Our mailman basically delivers flyers. My son when young was paid a couple cents per flyer to deliver. Like msm, Canada post no longer fits with the technology available today. They need to adapt, not remain the same, wasting tax dollars.

Agree. Most docs and bills are emailed or available on line. Payments are made via EFT or direct deposit. All I receive in it is flyers since it's become a regular target for thieves who pry open the main access door hoping not everyone is like me. Its a single point drop off for 50-75 homes, and there are three of them in my subdivision. My postal worker drives to each of the three super boxes and stuffs flyers each slot. Its not challenging work and it doesn't require more than a high school education. It takes 5 minutes tops at each stop, then they drive a block to the next one. What would take a few hours walking door to door, is now 15 minutes , maybe? Postal workers no longer need additional compensation for working under extreme weather conditions, encountering a vicious animal or icy sidewalks. They have a set number of routes a day and can call it quits when finished. What may have been a full time job in the past, is cut in half at the worst case scenario. Aren't they already paid full time wages for part time hours? Is a 23% increase reasonable when most people are working more, not less for the same money? They already have 7 sick days a year. Their benefit package would include short and long term disability which would kick in after a certain number of days. I work in an industry thats very generous as far as benefits are concerned, but even the largest of the companies offers a personal day or two and five sick days tops. After two weeks, you're onto disability. If you use your five days and need more, you can always use vacation time. After I broke my wrist and had surgery with a plate and screws added, my vacation time got me through recovery. Like the entire Lib party, these workers are showing typical public sector entitlement. If they knew what their private sector counterparts receive for pay and benefits, they would have a far different perspective.
