The absolute best AOD that I've had from about 15 different versions was the Lentech with different gear set, fixed line pressure with manual valve body and trans brake, lockup converter, and the nice thing it had a over drive delete switch so 1st was 1st, D was 2nd, OD was 3rd and 4th was OD with a switch, so no need for a shuffle that according to Lentech burns them up

Yeah I have similar build with a rebuilt aod with red clutches and kevlar bands, a silver fox performance valve body just like yours but I got a Trans Brake as well
@jakew23502 жыл бұрын
Also, it won't let me shift out of first when I hold it unless I'm at 3000rpm and the shift is a little delayed. I heard my governor is dirty or too much slack on TV cable but the valve body is constant pressure

My first car was a 95 gt Aode in 2005! When the trans was stock shifting into 2nd it would hit the rev limiter hard and cause a hard bog. When the trans was built, I did all high performance Kevlar clutches, good bands sprags etc . Biggest help was the Transgo HD2 shift kit, turned the line pressure up and instead of a few shims a spacer lol. This took care of the shift/limiter issue and the car barked 2nd EVERYTIME! So you have a turbo and a centri blower fox. Time for the Carbon Fox to huff the laughing gas!

Did the same 4R70W magic with the AOD in my 1977 F150, what a difference. No AODs didn’t come in 77s and neither did a fuel injected 351w, but they’re in there now. The lower 4R70W gears paired with my 4.56 gears can roast my 35” BFG’s.

I’ve had an AOD with the wide ratio for years. I was waiting for the point where you needed to change the governor. I had to do exactly the same thing. I needed the lowest RPM governor to stop hitting the rev limiter. You’re going to love it! 👌🔥
