When you realise we lose games because of ETH’s team selections and “tactics”, and we win games in-spite of them, our inconsistency makes sense. Sometimes the ball will drop to mctominay or we get a moment of brilliance or the opponent plays a high line we might win. But if the other team turns up we’ll probably lose. We are set up to fail and it’s down to the manager. Add his signings into the mix and it’s a mess.

I think it’s rather premature talking about a new era. Let’s see how the game turns out on Monday. Wigan despite their lowly position will be no pushovers, that’s been us.
