MY boyfriend and I always go to see Dropkick Murphys whenever they play in Vegas. We would have gone this year but he died 4 days before the show from a heart attack. I'm going to play "I Wish You Were Here"', "You'll Never Walk Alone"' and close out the service with this song. I just started bawling when I heard it cuz it reminded me of the last show we saw together.

One of my best friends- a good Irish man named Scott Hanrahan, age 53, died this past Monday after a very prolonged illness. I took care of him for 8 months, until he finally was well enough to go back to his home in another state last June. I've been listening to this a few times a day since I learned of his death and it brings me great comfort and solace. Thanks, DKM. I'm going to try to get to the Madison, WI show, but don't know if I'll be able to afford it, but we shall see. Cheers, and Merry Christmas, everyone.

Bryn Hullah Unfortunately no, I couldn’t go. I watched the St. Patrick’s Day stream and the stream from Fenway, and hope that in a year or two I will be able to save up the money to plan a trip to Boston to see them, since I have moved from Minnesota to Tennessee a few weeks ago- I am hoping that the job market here will be better than it is up north- the Governor in MN is a true douche, and recently said that outside the Minneapolis and St. Paul metro area there is nothing but rocks and cows. Essentially he said he only cares about the people in those two cities. What kind of government official says that kind of thing? So glad I and my odd little family left!

I think of my friend often, and wish I could share just one more toast with him, but until the next time we meet again, I toast to him alone on the occasions that meant something in our all too brief friendship, like birthdays, holidays, my college graduation anniversary and the anniversary of his family receiving his college degree, posthumously. We were both going to college as “non-traditional” students in our early 50s- he was supposed to graduate before me, but a cascade of terrible illnesses struck him and he never got the chance to finish his final semester, but the university awarded his degree to the family anyway. I really miss him, still.

Marcia La Vine their tickets are relatively cheap compared to some other bands but they put on a kick ass show and whatever you pay it will be worth it. I've seen the stones 14 times and Neil young 3, times and thought they were the 2 best bands I've ever seen but the dropkicks are tight up there with them. I highly recommend them.

I have always liked this song. I find it just the right combination of upbeat and melancholy. It's a perfect way to fondly remember friends, moments and feelings that are past and hope for the future reunion. Ever since the 'COVID streams' (St. Patrick's Day 2020 and 2021 and Fenway Park in May 2020), I don't think I will ever hear this song the same way again. associated We have all gone through something together and separately that I don't think any of us can put into words. Watching you guys at the Alaska State Fair, getting a Dropkick Murphys 3/4 Sleeve T-Shirt, and it being on Friday, August 30th, it made it the best Friday night of my life. Especially this song. The $35 Admission fee and $40 for the T was the best $75 I've ever spent. Also, that night at the State Fair was the best Friday night I've had in my life. You guys and my mom crying tears of joy when I got her a high quality Indian Motorcycles sign were the highlights of it. She may not have come to the concert with me and decided to wait at a bench, yet at least making her happy made me so happy to have gone to the fair with her. Let's Go Murphys!!
