So I'm (almost) quitting medical school to pursue a career in music. I've moved to London 5 years ago to become a doctor, but turns out some people successfully work in the creative industry and I really wanna try myself. For now, mostly because of the pressure from my family, I'm taking a year out to see how much (if anything) I can achieve in that short period. I need signs this might work out before dropping out completely, and sadly disappointing some people. So please please join me on this journey and help any way you can - follow on socials, stream my music, come to gigs, tell your friends, and most importantly, TALK TO ME PLS. I may be speaking out of massive scandinavian social safety net privilege here, but I believe that life is too short to not take risks. Your Little Blue cover gave me a massive burst of inspiration to get back on guitar again after a low period. Hope you get to Berklee and it gives you everything you ever dreamed. Do I think you have the voice and talent? Absolutely. However, as one who relies on common sense, I'd certainly advise against giving up medicine. FYI, I've been looking UTube vids for years now, spending much of my days, in fact. I've seen and heard hundreds, probably thousands of videos of hopeful singers, dozens and dozens who I'd consider great. Sadly, there is only room for a few and I'd say the odds against you (or any of those other very good singers) are 100-1. Too soon, you'll be at an age where you'll be asking why you wasted so much time in hope. Good luck in however you decide.

a bit unnecessary and giving an opinion based on what you have seen on KZbin is a bit dumb dont you think? A musician makes music so judging someones potential by voice only is stupid. Next time keep your opinion to yourself so you don’t embarrass yourself and bring unnecessary opinions and negativity to other peoples life 👍

@@antonioareia4228 I simply commented in response to her remarks in the description where she says "I really need your help though" which seems to me as though she's looking for opinions on whether or not she should give up her schooling. Having seen hundreds on KZbin who are good I thought my comment might be useful to her before she throws a potential career away for a dream.
